I'm back from a biz trip to JAX, FL, haven't had a total of 8 hrs sleep in three days and just ROFLMAO at these posts, sleep deprivation will do that to you.

Really neat to see we're picking up MINI, if not potted meat lovers from all over, this will be a blast! Maybe we'll have a funky food swap, too? J/K!

You know what I miss, from the Midwest? "Genuine" tenderloin sandwiches. Breaded, hanging off the bun in all directions and about an inch thick. Hmmm, maybe I should open a restaurant?

Now that's a new one on me. Like pork chop sandwiches? The Snappy Lunch in Mt. Airy has the best....

All money must be in by Oct. 15th, and there will only be a couple of each for sale at the event....
Check is in the mail... No Seriously, I mailed it today!

Sounds like I need to bring a few Southern food items for show-N-tell...

What's in Collard Greens? Why Collard Greens of course!

I'll bring the canned spam. We can fry it on the skillet and use the leftover grease to fry the eggs.

I'm in for two six packs of Sleeman's Creme Ale. I just drank my last bottle from MOTD.

$$ sent to Jason today to cover t-shirts and hoodie purchase along with a donation.

I can't believe this is still weeks away. We have a local event Sunday that will keep me on track I guess.

I came across this and thought I'd share...

It gives we newbies just a taste of what it might be like.

Georgia

I'm not a Georgia fan. Our son went to LSU, so we're devout LSU fans.
I heard that Georgia was hiring Michael Vick to coach the Bulldogs how to fight!

Hi Philip,

You wrote: is there no-one convoying up out of the Greenville, SC area?

I've just been catching up with this thread and saw your post. I'm planning to go up on Friday. Will probably make a day-trip out of it. I think CUTiger3 is planning on the same thing. And thatatvguy is going up for the weekend. We sure could convoy up together. We can discuss the best route over to Fontana -the curviest or the fastest.

Btw, check out the thread I posted a few minutes ago about October events in Greenville.

Let's motor!

Good morning all,

Wow another Easley-ite. Kewl. I see some around town, but most never wave. Just another car to them. Leave a few cards, but no response.

Anyway,
Since this is going to be a kind of vacation/birthday event for us two, there will be some detours for us. Not going the direct route.

Carol can get you there, no problem.

PS we might not be there for the cookout on Fri night. Tryin' to schedule a stop for the GF but I don't know how early we can make it.

I'll be sending the reg fee and shirt money this week.
Thanks again,
John

<off topic> looking for something else, found a couple DDM shop pics

You'll have to explain why this was out back, when we get to the Dragon...

I can't explain why I took a picture of it! ;-)

I spoke with Fontana Village today, to work on more of the details, and she informed that they usually charge $5 for the disc golf, but would waive the fee for us, since most will have our own discs. She said they would have bags of discs available for $5 for the round to anyone who needs it.
I am also working on more of the details of the cookout, and such.

Well... Only 23 more sleeps until we leave! YES!! I am really looking forward to this event!

We are going to make a vacation out of it, and stay a few extra days in the area.

Just wondering, the typical tourist question, what is there to see and do? not just around the Dragon. We want to tour around the area and on the way back up north. Any suggestions? Would like to see some historical sites, neat attractions etc.

Any suggestions?

~Rebecca~
