2013 JCW Aero Kit... I'm confused

So... this may sound silly but I'm super confused.

Does the 2013 JCW come with the JCW aero kit?
And if yes, does that mean it comes with the black grille trim?

And is that new for 2013 or has it always been that way?

Please enlighten me...

thanks

yes i believe the configurator shows the wrong pic after you export it to pdf. afaik it does NOT come with black grill trim. you would have to buy that after.

yeah the picture glitches or something and i just wanted to make sure it comes with the Aero kit. My dealer said they can replace the chrome grille trim to the black one for $250.

Aero kit comes standard on the JCW. The black grill surrounds can be had for under $100! Easy to switch out too.

Yes they will fit 2011 cars, simply remove and replace. I'm told the black out trim is backed ordered everywhere and they sell out fast when they come in! I got some of the first headlight rings earlier this year but still waiting on the rears.

Oh just wondering. I bought that OEM heat shield from Sewell, but it didn't fit well. I had to cut it up to make it fit. Was a damn hassle.

By the way, I finally ordered the black front grill trim from Sewell. I'm excited! Where did you look up instructions to remove the trims?

Probably a dumb question - will the parts you listed fit a 2013 JCW Convertible? Also, in some pix from the mini site they show the JCW convertible with a black grille, but others show it with the chrome grille. Does anyone know if they come already black?

I'd like to get all these parts ordered while I'm waiting for the new ride! Buying mods will make me feel better LOL

For the grille it says it will not fit 2010 and newer aero kits, but isn't that standard on the 2013 JCW convertible? So confused.

i remember finding something online here, but it was way easier then i thought. top grill is like 4 bolts. and on the bottom has a clip/tab that pushes out and then it just comes off. should only take 5mins.

yea i dont know why they say that. when i ordered mine from sewell he said they are not compatible with 2010+ new cars, but i coudlnt see any difference on the grill. Mine was a 2012 and it fit just fine. I know they didnt make any changes to the grill trim from 2012 to 2013 so i'm pretty sure they'll fit on your car too. sewell has great customer service so if for some miraculous reason it didnt fit you could always send it back.

Great, thanks! I re-read this thread and it looks like the JCW comes with the chrome grill so I will go ahead and order the black one along with the headlight and taillight surrounds.
