Finally got some JCW Challenge spokes for my JCW

I caught a good deal on a set of Challenge spokes. I was getting tired of the sleeper look with the 17" crown spokes I had on the car. Now bring on the joy of cleaning those spokes!

Nice, did you go black or silver? They are a pain to clean...but look so good

I got the silver ones. Clearly it's going to be a love hate relationship lol! I like how I can see the big Brembos now.

Onefish2 - where can you get your wheels power coat and can they fix minor road rash. How do they hold up over time?

I had a guy that does wheel repair powder coat them and yes they do road rash repair. That is their primary business. PM me and I will send you his name and number. He is in Bergen county though.

I actually prefer the silver look. Maybe the powder coat is something to consider later on.

I'm looking for a set of JCW Challenge spokes as well but black if they are available with decent price.

I would suggest you stop by your local dealership. I just happened to be there when another JCW owner was upgrading to a set of 18s, so I got hers. Keep in mind the TPMS on the 2012s don't work on the '09s. The frequency is different.

Got to be at the right time and place great idea. Yes, I had to purchase a new set of TPMS for my wheels for the 2009 since they are different part number.

Thanks...

I learnt that the hard way after the Challenge spokes were mounted and I got a TMPS malfunction. I had to pay to remount the old TPMS since I had explicitly told the tire shop NOT to switch the TMPS (thinking I would have newer/better ones and save money lol).

I have the black ones on my JCW, and the brake dust shows even on them. They don't change color as much as they lose their shine. They look really nice, but I've also considered replacing them. Another local JCW owner (all black) put these OZ ALLEGGERITA HLT - Matt Black on his. I really like the simple look (and they'd be simple to keep clean), plus each wheel is about 9 lbs lighter than the Challenge Spoke wheels.

I really like the simple look, plus they are about 9 lbs lighter each.

These Challenge spokes are 2.2lbs lighter than the Crown Spokes and I actually feel the difference... so I bet that 9lbs lighter will be incredible! That would be ideal for a track day I imagine. Plus they look a lot easier to clean.
