Stock scuttles for 2011 JCW

Does anybody know the part number for ordering the side scuttle OEM for a 2011 JCW. The dealership here in Germany cannot find the right part for replacing the one that flew off on the autobahn last week . I tried looking on realoem.com but had no luck in locating the right part number. Thanks in advance for the help.

But no idea what happened to the newer chrome JCW scuttle. Weird.

I just purchased a set myself - the part numbers are hidden, but is available.

They are: 51777188614 (RH) and 51777188613 (LH)

Thanks for that . I ordered another pair from the dealership before my car got shipped back to the states and they finally kinda got it right LOL . The scuttle they ordered matched up but not the blinker . Hopefully I will be able to get reimbursed once the car is stateside (fingers crossed).

You ordered them direct from the dealer by giving them those part numbers?

Thanks. Already emailed my dealership. Wanted to know what was a reasonable price to expect back.

Final question (I think). You self install and was it as easy as this?:

Sorry I got that currency conversion wrong haha .. was suppose to multiply not divide!! (I buy way too much stuff from the USA and tend to work out the conversion that way around!!)

It's NZ$93, so roughly US$77 !!! My bad!!

Yep very easy to self install ... just push forward, unclip wiring harness and clip the new one on!!

The JCW ones comes with the holder (as it is different to the stock one) ... so you don't actually separate them - it comes as one full assembly, including the turn signal bulb.

The whole kit & caboodle, eh? Heard back from the Parts Mgr at the dealership, he said $25US/each. Holiday special, etc (folks trying to make/exceed EOY targets I presume). Told him to order. Emailed him back a snapshot to confirm it was the same (as my subject line "Chrome Sharkfin Scuttle") he said he didn't know, he just took the part numbers I gave him and ran with it...sigh. We'll see in two days, hopefully I'll have the new/correct part just in time for the weekend.

Thanks again.

Yes. It's as easy as that. Almost impossible to do it wrong or break any clips in the process.

My Sharkfin scuttles came in this morning while I was at the dealership getting new 17" wheels and non-RFTs. Was the $50/pair as originally quoted. And to think I was trying to buy some used from a poser for $85 + S&H But that deal fell through because he felt he was "spending too much time" answering my questions (he kept giving contradictory answers). HA!

Thanks again NZ_M3 , having the part numbers made all of the difference, they couldn't locate it before. In fact, they have the P/N of this scuttle http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...95&hg=63&fg=10 on the invoice so the correct number doesn't appear to be in their system (or they use the same number for all scuttles).
