2011 JCW pictures
Enjoy a terrific weekend of Motoring!
JCW666: are you "painting the black wheel arches all the way around" black or do you mean the body color? If you are continuing the black that I'm guessing you may already have, then you only need to add the textured paint to that small section of the side skirt--body you need to advise your body shop that this is what you wish to do. If you are painting the black wheel arches all the way around the body color, then you have two options: one is to sand the wheel arches smooth and the other is to order smooth arches from the factory (which I believe they now make, but they didn't for the 1st generation). I'm told that when sanding down the textured arches, the paint doesn't adhere all that well...so, that made it an easy decision for me (besides, over time I came to like the textured arches as something unique to MINI). I just wanted to be clear, because I'm not certain what you are saying! ;o) If you are keeping and continuing the textured black paint on the arches and down to that small area of the side skirt, it is my belief that you do not need to replace your stock arches...if you are changing to a body colored paint, then you should. I hope that helps.
but i really really appreciate it man .. Ya i will paint them in body color, n this what i will do .. i asked if its A MUST to change the arches in case i want to install the JCW Side Skirts but if not required n will fitt with stock arches then i wont order the wheel arches that comes with JCW body kit .. the sad thing is Our mini dealer told me that they can't order the JCW side skirts only, I have to order full .. so the only way is to order them from a website which has the original side skirts .. the only thing was making me confused is stock wheel arches will fit with the JCW body kit or not. thx a lo0o0o0o0o0ot Mack for your support
Pepper White with Chili Red
Looks really great, although I knew that this combination would. I'm kind of partial to the Chili Red Roofs, as you will notice. About the only one that I have trouble with, with the Chili Red Roof is the Eclipse Gray. I'm waiting on seeing the White/Silver with it too. Nice car.
Hey Mack .. I know I annoyed u these past days

If you're going to paint the arches body color, and you have the black textured arches, I recommend purchasing new arches, simply because I've read and I've been told that the paint does not adhere well on the textured arches, even when sanded down. Others may have had another experience, and I sure hope so. Nevertheless, your present arches should align with the new skirts, so that shouldn't be a concern....you're only concern now is smoothing out the texture and painting. ;o)
.. i told them what if someone has the body kit n had a hit in the side skirt .. they said in that case ya we can order, so what to do, its their well .. anyways, these r some pics after painting the arches n fitting the carbon fiber mirror caps n hood scoop .. inside the car, carbon fiber JCW gear **** alcantara with the gear lever alcantara + Inner door handels carbon fiber + JCW gear shift indecator + carbon fiber middle stearing part .. remaining mods, JCW side scuttles waiting for the carrier + carbon fiber JCW parking break loose issue + white sport middle stripes + upper n lower black color in the grill ... Enjoy the pics .. will post other pics after everything is installed....
I don't have the name of the company, but there is a company that sells just the side skirts, or lower JCW panels. Price is about $750 - $800, but it includes all the little parts, bolts, screws ect. In other words, a complete kit. There's got to be someone here that has the website for them
So I finally took delivery of my JCW after it sat around at the dealership for 2 weeks. All I can say is the car is awesome. Made a few changes to the car while it was waiting for me - red mirror caps and black scuttles. After having driven several other cars for the last few years the Mini is by far the most fun! Just had the windows tinted yesterday and my JCW shift **** will be here tomorrow. Still debating whether to get the JCW steering wheel.

Also, everyone talks about the Pop, Burble in the exhaust, either I don't know what they are talking about, or mine doesn't have it. At least it doesn't sound like that to me. It does have a throaty sound, but no pop, crackle and snap.
I'm imagining it takes some time to break the exhaust in. All the cars I've put aftermarket exhausts on (and the JCW is almost aftermarket) have taken a while (actually, about 10k miles) before they really developed their sound.
HemiSedan, start using your sport button and the snap, crackle, and pop will begin. The sport button DOES NOT increase power. It does quicken the throttle response, and alter the steering effort slightly. I always use it because the lowspeed throttle response, like when taking off from a stop, seems to have a stumble in it to me without the sport. It does not affect your break-in or gas mileage (unless it tends to make you drive faster
). My car's got a whopping 250 or so miles on it now after a week, and it was burbling from the moment I drove off the dealer's lot. From my experience with the '09 JCW, the exhaust will get slightly louder over time, but never objectionable.

Hey Mack, thx for ur support .. i totally understand ur point .. actually the dealer does this job a lot in bmw cars coze this kind of black arches is a pain in our country due to the hot weather, it becomes realy dirty n old looking .. thats why everyone prefere painting them n I personally had experince this issue in my previouse MCS .. regarding the JCW side skirts the dealer said i cant order them only its a must to be full JCW body kit
.. i told them what if someone has the body kit n had a hit in the side skirt .. they said in that case ya we can order, so what to do, its their well .. anyways, these r some pics after painting the arches n fitting the carbon fiber mirror caps n hood scoop .. inside the car, carbon fiber JCW gear **** alcantara with the gear lever alcantara + Inner door handels carbon fiber + JCW gear shift indecator + carbon fiber middle stearing part .. remaining mods, JCW side scuttles waiting for the carrier + carbon fiber JCW parking break loose issue + white sport middle stripes + upper n lower black color in the grill ... Ya I've seen them .. will work on that later
No worries
.. thanks man .. anytime .. i guess soon will post another photos after all job is done .. i received the car, all i can say, I'M SPEECHLESS

Hemi, I was going out, i took the gate control from the cup holder when i put it back i accidently clicked the sport button without noticing .. i left n i was driving smoothly. everytime i change the gear i hear a pop
.. i was wondering whats wrong with exhaust coze its soo soon to it to reach that level .. until i reached 4th or 5th gear i cant remember n its still poping everytime i press on the clutch to change the gear, i looked down n saw the sport button is on
.. n kept thinking how come the its on!! then after thinking for a while i figured it out
.I cant say anything about the car, i cant add anything after what u said about it .. i totally agree with u .. only 1 thing i want to know regarding the RPM i guess its higher than my previouse MCS AT transmission .. is it because its MT? is the MCS MT RPM is also higher than the AT .. coze i was driving in the highay a speed of 75 MPH it was on 3000 RPM?! .. i haven't tested the MCS MT or only JCW like that .. 1 last thing how is the M7 heat shield? do u guys recommend it?

M7 Turbo Heat Shield
. 1 last thing how is the M7 heat shield? do u guys recommend it?[/QUOTE]
I put the M7 Heat shield for the Turbo on just this week. Very easy installation. No rattles, and although we are cold this week, I don't notice any heat radiating from the front of the hood now. I think that it was a good decision. Although, if you notice, there is no longer any plastic under the hood by the scoop anymore. Mini changed that, I think last February, but definately on the 2011 models.
As for rpm vs the auto, there might be a gear ration change, especially with the JCW, as this is a different transmission from the MCS manual, too. I'm still trying to find where that turbo lag is suppose to be in the regular mode, not Sport.

All of u guys, congrats n sorry for my lateness .. really nice combinations .. I really wanted to take the advantage fo the red roof, but the prob i have with the colors, dark colors r pain in country, u just finished cleaning ur car same time u see the dust on it
.. Pepper white, i wish if mini changed it like the countryman white, anyways this is just my opinion .. other than that the combinations r amazing .. Enjoy to the maximum but take care
