Midnight Black JCW!

I received her on 10/28/2009, two days earlier than expected.
My previous car and the car I used as trade-in was a yellow 2004 mini(non-s) that I have owned since Summer of 04. I took care of it very well. I was happy when my MA was surprised to see that the interior was super clean.
I originally ordered a 2010 MCS but after a week of lurking around the factory JCW forum, I acted quickly to upgrade the order. Thanks Guys. Like many others, I didn't want to "wonder" what owning a JCW would be like.

To go from a N/A mini to the JCW is a huge rush when I experience the difference on the road. I loved the 04 mini but man this thing is insane. Also, I've never owned or driven a fast car in my life. The fastest thing I've driven was probably my brother's old 98 prelude which was lightly modded.

I originally ordered double white stripes but I changed my mind. I sort of want a clean look now. I'm not too happy with the current factory stock rims but as long as it's black I'm happy.

I'm looking forward to all the adventures I will have with the car and will be posting more pics in the future.

Looks like a great change from your 04 and a super first picture.

More pictures please, the clean looks is good.

You did get the Challenge 17s, right? If you don't want to keep them, I may know of a buyer for the set.

I put a set of the Challenge wheels on my 07, because I like them.

Congrats! As someone considering a JCW in the near future, would you mind sharing the options you got and what your price was? I understand if you don't want to share that information but I would very much appreciate it.

You can build a factory JCW on the miniusa.com site to get a feel for what all of the options cost. You may already know this but just in case....

No I get that. But MSRP and what someone pays out the door are two different things.

Typically the MINIUSA configurator price...is the price. Minimal (if any) negotiating when ordering.

Well, I guess we'll have to disagree. I've seen other posters here say they paid far below MSRP.

And of course, typically, I don't pay MSRP for any car.

They may throw in some mats. But I have never seen where anyone has placed an order and got far below the configurator price.

...but most bought of the lot. You can almost alwasy get a better deal on existing inventory over ordering exactly what you want.

Agreed. I bought mine off the lot and paid quite a bit less than MSRP. However, had I ordered a custom Mini, I would have been charged the price on the website.

BTW, great looking car to the OP. I love my midnight black MCS. It's the first black car I've owned, and when it's clean, it's BEAUTIFUL.

I agree.... I bought my '09 JCW for 31K. I couldn't buy one off the configurator for that....

RamsterZ your car with the new JCW Aero kit does indeed look sweet.

My 09 JCW was an order that someone placed and then could not get financing when it arrived. The car sat around for 4 months until I showed up. The sticker on the car was $39,400. The dealer added a few things to take the price to $41,700. I did not even haggle with them on price. They knew I was interested. They put a price of 38K in front of me and I jumped on it. Keep in mind this was a special circumstance. I did get an awesome deal. Had I ordered a car in November of 09, I would have paid sticker for it.

My car is loaded with every factory option except Nav, HD Radio and PDC. I have the factory aero kit not the JCW aero kit. All the JCW goodies in my signature below including the JCW suspension were added after point of sale.

oh wow thanks for all the reply guys. I didn't check the board over the weekend.
@OneFish2
Seems like you had a pretty sweet deal. I also took over someone elses JCW order when I decided to switch from MCS, but the car was still being built.
@THellURider
first of all, Get the JCW!
I can post what was stated in my Vehicle invoice if that helps.
28,800.00 - JCW Hardtop
500.00 - Midnight Black Paint Job
0 - Grey/Carbon Black Leatherette Interior
500.00 - Cold weather package ( love it)
500.00 - Sport Suspension
500.00 - Xenon Headlights
100.00 - Rear fog lamps
2750 - JCW Aero Kit
0 - Multi function steering
0 - Piano black interior
0 - Anthracite black ceiling liners
700.00 - Destination Charge ( has anyone haggled this down?)
34,350 - total

I probably didn't do the best job at lowering the prices, but I was so excited throughout the whole process I didn't really care(bad, i know).

Sorry I don't have any new pics yet, the weather hasn't been the best lately. Here are some older ones.
