Bent short shifter

Does anyone make a short shifter with a bent stick for the Gen2? Right now I have to lean forward to shift into 1,3 & 5 and would probably have to lean forward for all gears with a standard short shifter. It would be nice to have a Hurst style rear sweeper.

For some reason, I don't have the problem in the Gen 1.

Back in the day, we used to heat them up with torch, and have
Magilla Gorilla with Nomax gloves and a coated pipe wrench make it bent....

I went with the Alta one and it has a pretty good bend to it. Since this pic I have adjusted so it bends back and towards me. I have short arms and 3rd and 5th were a stretch. So now I can have the seat where I like it and still be able to bang through the gears with no problem.

Yeah....I did that on my Bugeye Sprite. Screwed up the chrome, but who cared.

It is a breeze to install. You either have to glue it on or use something to make the metal tube it slides over fatter. I used duct tape which worked great. Go figure! It doesn't even budge a bit. I used this to guide me through it http://www.motoringfile.com/2008/04/...rake-grip-diy/
