Thanx much for sharing. Finally, a comparo w/the JCW as opposed to the MCS; not that the MCS isn't quite capable, we just know the JCW is just 'that' much better.
I think I'll join too.

I feel they left out one important detail in this article. They failed to mention how butt ugly the rest of the cars were! It does make you feel good though to read about a JCW giving out a spanking. Not the fastest one there, but close enough you can make it up with driving ability.

Yo. The lancer is pretty sexy... That and a better PRICE comparison would have had the JCW with JCW suspension against 30-35k cars. That said amazing analysis! I look forward to more comparisons and MINI spanking them even with 1 or 2 sec lower numbers just cause of how fun it is to drive!!

Nice article. In short the JCW wins because of weight and steering (we all knew that didn't we?). They liked the suspension too, imagine what they'd say with the JCW upgrade. The Colbalt won some other similar test I read somewhere (over the Mazdaspeed3 and other usual suspects, no Mini). I know it's cheaper, but can any track aficionado really be seen in a Cobalt? lol

Wow, i simply can't believe that the JCW is faster around a track than a MPS 3. I've driven one, and they absolutely FLY in a straight line, and the handling wasn't bad either. This makes my purchase very sweet indeed

I kinda like the sport seat that came in mine, but then coming from a 13 year old american beater the reference point is not very high!!!!

somewhat of an unfair comparsion. wrx are going so low right now.. you can get them around 22k brand new. that really compares closer to the mcs instead of the jcw version. wonder how the results would be then.
