Does anyone have the 0-60 times or the quarter mile times that they are pulling in this thing?

5.7 is impressive, but Motor Trend seems to publish very low 0-60 times in its write-ups. I have noticed they are typically lower than other publications. Based on early tests and manufacturer ratings, I would expect range to be between 5.7 and 6.2 or thereabouts.

That said, this is a very quick car and gets going in a hurry. What I like is that the car feels balanced and the power doesn't overwhelm the car.

The more I drive the JCW, the more impressed I am with her. Great total package!

Jeeze, how does it compare to your M3 or doesn't it?

The only bad thing i've heard about the JCW thus far is the toque steer issue, which can be a pain to deal with but there is aftermarket support for that.

The M3 and the JCW are totally different cars and it's hard to compare the two. I love them both for different reasons and they both put a smile on my face.

If pressed, I would say that the M3 is serious. The JCW is serious fun.

I haven't felt much torque steer yet, but I've only had the car for less than a month. I am not sure if the EDLC on the Mini is better or worse than the mechanical LSD found on the S. I'll do a search of this forum. If anyone has any actual experience with this, I would be interested to hear.

I don't know if I got a particularly fast model, but my JCW hauls serious butt. The torque steer is taking a bit to get used to, but otherwise mine is a rocket!

Let me put it another way, If you could only keep one, which one would you keep?

Tough question and I hope it doesn't come to that. If I could only keep one, it would be the JCW. Primarily because it costs less than 1/2 as much as my M and is a lot more economical to keep, but also delivers a lot of fun and even practicality.

If cost wasn't a factor, the M3. The M3 is a fantastic car, just pricey.

I really enjoy driving them both. After driving the Mini, the M3 feels very solid, fast and comfortable. After driving the M3, the Mini feels very light, tossable and very engaging. Too different, but great cars!
