Newest Addition to the Family

Just thought I would share a few pictures in this area of the forums. I picked up my LaB/B 09 JCW Saturday.

Edit:

Figured I should share some of my impressions for those who are considering the JCW. I came from an EVO VIII, so I'm used to fast cars that handle very well. The JCW to me puts as much of a smile on my face as my EVO did. The engine sound in sport mode is great, and the car has enough umph to put you in your seat a little bit.

The brakes are just simply fantastic on this car. It can stop so well and prepare you for your turn. Their is a little bit of understeer in the turns, but you simply don't care too much while driving. It just corners so hard, and accelerates and decelerates too well for it to ruin the experience.

If you only care about having the fastest car amongst your friends, this car probably isn't for you. But if you want a car that is just plain fun to drive, and really lets you push the limits, it's simply fantastic.

Very well put!

Great looking Car!!!!

I do a lot of track time (recently with R8, GTR and 997 GT3 - not comparing them to the MINI) and get to drive some crazy cars and when I drove the JCW I was very entertained and impressed. I had to have it. Its economy/fun factor is tough to beat! It is not the fastest or sexiest thing, but very capable and definitely has a unique appeal!

I completely agree with both of you. It also seems to be a common feeling here. My JCW, on paper, is the slowest of my current cars (0-60, 1/4 mile, etc.) but it is the most fun!

Thanks for the input on the JCW. Can't wait to order mine up. I miss having a car that makes me smile. The car I have now is nice and fun, but not Mini-Fun.

The JCW re-minds me of the early 911s's its makes all the right noises, has a litttle understeer, not the fastest but adequate and it does put a smile on your face. I find that I look for reasons to drive it.

Do you feel that the JCW is worthwhile for someone who will never track it, but loves spirited driving?
