I thought only Dunlop tires were being fitted on the Factory JCW MINIs but I just saw a new JCW with Continental tires.

 

I have seen at the dealer an '08 MCS that came equipped with the ContiSportContact 3 runflats - aggressive looking tread pattern. It is probably luck of the draw as to which of the Dunlop SP01 or the ContiSport 3 comes on new MCS or JCW.

 

I agree probably luck of the draw. I'm assuming either tire meets BMW's standards so I shouldn't be concerned right?

 

I've seen both at my dealer. All are "88W" rated (as opposed to 84V on the Cooper S models).

 

mine came with the conti"s (happy about that), but the others getting delivered had sported the Dunlops

 

Mine has the Conti's, and I'm very happy with them!!!
