New JCW today

I am so excited, picked up my new JCW today after work. She is just too much fun!!! I drove nearly 50 miles extra just to enjoy her. Although the computer stated 30 mpg, I may end up not saving any gas money with all of the extra driving.

After researching on this forum and building a lot of different Coopers (lost count) on the web site, I ordered a fairly loaded S. After more research and a few more test drives, cancelled S order to buy the JCW with minimal options (cloth seats, MFSW and convenience package only, although it does have JCW kit and JCW alcantera steering wheel). The S is great and I think the JCW has just a little something extra. Feel I made the right decision.

A couple of quick pics of the new girl.

And her older siblings. I think there was a little jealousy when she came home.

On the way home, passed by two MINIs and got two waves. It was nice. Love the school spirit with MINI owners.

I love my MINI!

New JCW

Congrats! I have the same color combo JCW, no Sunroof. Also in Texas. I'll wave when I see you.

Call me dumb (i'm not car-savvy), would that m3 happen to be one of those cool transformer-like hardtop convertibles?

You sound like me.

For two months I've been thinking "S" but woke up this morning knowing that I wanted the JCW in red/black. The only thing I can't decide is whether to get the sport or bonnet stripes. My Lexus lease isn't up until early next year so I have plently of time to decide on that and interior configuration. Just glad I realized what I really wanted.

It was the posts on this site that helped me decided - thanks to everyone.

Nice choice of color , I really like not having a sunroof with this car. I'll do my part to keep waving too.

Thanks, I enjoy them all in very different ways. This M3 does have the acrobatic hard top. I like the look of the coupe better than the vert with the top up, but from the inside the hard top is solid and it feels just like a coupe. Nice for long trips and great to be able to put the top down when the mood strikes.

Great choice. My advice is that if you can make it happen and have doubts between S and JCW, go with the JCW. If you don't, you'll very likely regret it everytime you see one on the road or hear someone talk about one. I would also sacrifice options to get the JCW. I wasn't sure that I would (had some doubts since my other cars are all fully loaded), but I am actually enjoying having fewer options on this car. It just feels pure and like it is meant to be driven. I don't miss Nav, leather, or anything else while driving.

The more I drive this car, the more sure I am I made the right choice. This really is a very special car.

Did you get it from Momentum Mini in Houston? If so, I remember seeing your car, looks awesome. Who was your MA?

I did get her from Momentum in Houston. Jarrod was my MA and patiently answered all of my (many) questions. Marianna, the sales manager, spent quite a bit of time with me also and made it a very easy and pleasant experience. Overall, it was a nice purchase experience provided by entire staff. I realize dealership experiences can be hit or miss for various reasons, but I would recommend them based on my experience there.

I bought my 07' MCS from Momentum and I will be buying my 09' JCW from them. They are excellent to deal with. Congrats on the new car.
