09 JCW Air Intake / Filter Availability

What air intakes / filters are available for the new 09 JCW? Has anyone retrofitted the JCW Stage 1 to the Stage 2 engine?

It's exactly the same! Only there is no JCW logo on the airbox.

The ALTA Performance™ folks insist that the intake is the stock R56 intake and not the Stage 1 JCW intake, and I believe they are a credible group of folks.

This is TRUE! Kind of bum deal for the JCW owners, but it is true. Both of the two cars we have, are the same.

So the following all fits the 09 JCW in terms of intake pieces:

AMP-INT-106 Panel Filter

AMP-INT-400 Intake System

We are checking a few others from m7 tomorrow on a clients car as well. I will let yall know what we find!

If I can EVER answer any questions on these cars, PLEASE let me know!

We did try the m7 parts and NONE of them fit the 08+ cars period, JCW or otherwise. We spoke with them and they will be revising their intake systems in the near future. but for 100% they do not fit.

Thanks for asking!

I'd be interested to see the performance gains from the Alta intake as well as the sound change.

TRying to get that done this week. I have my new 09 JCW and I am putting a few more miles on it (would like to break 250) before it hits the dyno.

Stay tuned!

Got the Alta drop in. It improved the sound, but my car has just hit 1200 miles and I haven't got on the throttle hard yet--I wouldn't know of any power increase. My guess is that the drop in gives small gains in hp. I did notice the car seems to breath a little better.
