Nice colors, think I might like that better than Moonwalk/red combo that was my favorite. How about pictures of the unusual options?

It was really difficult getting a good picture but it's stitched leather on the top and alcantara for the knee pads underneath the secret glove box.

I have no complaints about this interior!

Thanks! I want to say it's a pretty unique configuration. The dealer had a window sticker and it was around $43k!! I got it for a much better price of course, and with only 9k miles I thought it was a steal for a virtually brand new car.

In the next couple days I'll be putting back on the JCW Leather/Alcantara steering wheel I had on my old MINI. And maybe the Helix intercooler too. Good thing I kept those

First post here (long time forum guy on other forums)

Just picked this guy up, wonder if anyone recognizes it?
2012 with only 13k miles
Koni sports with H&R setup, rides pretty smooth and firm. Yeah it gets bumpy at times, but I plan on changing out the RFT
Yup it sits nice and low, scrape on all kinds of things up front

The brakes are nice (but it could also be coming from a 4200+ lb car), best part is when they squeal when braking.
Wish it had a bit more squeal, Manly brakes.

My '13 in Reef Blue!

Still have no idea what to do with it other than maintain and drive it, so many options out there...

So far I've been thinking the GP2 rear diffuser, matching the grille trim (currently the lower is black and the upper is chrome, so probably going full chrome which is more work to match the light trims OR going black and seeing if that has me blacking out the light rings or other pieces.) I like the Genuine LED DRLs instead of running the xenons all the time, and I need a set of rubber mats. A friend who works for Mini and is a Midwest regional rep gave me a shorty antenna so that's technically the first mod. The GP2 undertray would be nice for some underside projection and cleaner airflow at highway speeds. Window tints are a must, and I'll need a winter wheel/tire setup too for whatever St. Louis winter wants to throw my way.

Performance wise who knows?! I'm going to run the car stock until the warranty expires and I have a better feel for the machine. An exhaust could be cool for the sound, and I'd like to research a more resolved shock/spring combo that doesn't lower but gets the ride/handling more in line with an Ohlins setup off a Renaultsport Megane provides. Long term I'm really interested in a rear-seat delete that somehow still have some marginal security for items and not add a ton of road noise. That might take a lot of investigation as it would need to be reversible too.

I have an account with ECS and I've bookmarked a few things...

Same thing happened to me!

$41k sticker and only 9300 miles I picked up for nearly 50% off. Crazy how someone could spec all these tasty items then be "meh" after barely driving it over 3 years. Turns out that my car's 1st owner was someone in the Hamptons, way out on Long Island, NY. Probably an errands car that sat next to a Ferrari and Rolls in a massive garage.

Well you already have a nice list going. Sounds like you know what you want. if you get the front and the rear, you already have the middle being a F JCW car.

I see you have the recaro's too, very nice! I wanted those but I think the lounge leather is good enough. Mine was basically fully loaded minus recaros, and it also had a few extras like the jcw coolant and boost gauges, as well as the jcw strut bar. Plus I found out it has the extended maintenance program as well and a couple other things like clear bra and window tint that's not factored into the MSRP on the window sticker. All in all I think we both got real good deals! Congrats on the find

Looks great! Does it have the N18 engine or N14? You can tell either by looking at the engine cover or if the VIN is has SU9C then it is N18, if it is SV9C it is N14.

And more pictures please!

Here's one of the FJCW enjoying Skyline Blvd

Is that vin code identifier year specific? As my 2015 has SX9C It's a fJCW R58

I believe it is model specific but not necessarily year-specific. For example, I had an 08 Mini Cooper S Hardtop with code MF73, but any 07-10 MCS Hardtop would have had the same MF73 code. For the 07-10 MCS Clubman the code would be different.

My new to me '11 FJCW. At least I think it's a FJCW. I'm still learning. I'll get a more scenic pic after I have it detailed.

I believe you can plug in your VIN into a decoder and it will tell you whether it's an fJCW or not.

Welcome to the club, yep it is an fJCW. Giveaway is the placement of the JCW badge on the front lower bumper, aero side markers and most likely the JCW badge on the right side of the trunk where the Cooper S logo normally resides.

In 2011 they didn't have the aerokit standard but after that year I think they changed it.

Yes, the JCW badge is there on the rear. Thanks for the info and the welcome. I did run the vin and it said JCW but I wasn't sure if the kit added by the dealer would show up in that report.

MarkUSAF - Nice color combo! I like the tint in the rear. Its on my list to do after I get all the maintenance up to my liking.

You two are almost twins! Great color scheme. Sometimes I wish I had black challenge spoke wheels, probably hides the dust better.
