Born on the 4th of July

Picked mine up yesterday. Truly a basic JCW, with the cold weather, premium, BT, and xenon. Not much more but oh my, what fun to drive. Drove a lot today, had a blast. Cannot stop smiling.

Here's an iPhone pic to get it started. There will be time for quality photos later. Hope to add some window tint, and chrome scoop but not sure what else to do, it looks nice to me now. Thoughts?

Peace,

Thanks! I was thinking LB/W for over a year. Actually had stopped to look at a Laser Blue/White on the lot when I was blindsided by this car, with the challenge spoke wheels, sitting in the showroom. Search was done, just like that.

iflyga... maybe dark grey sport stripes. A color that is just a few shades off the blue and the black so it blends in and you have to do a double take to see it. I saw a picture of someone who did it here on NAM and it looked great. It was a custom color.

Thanks so much. I've gotten a bunch of compliments already. Now for that first wave from a fellow mini driver....

And thanks for the feedback on the scoop. The body color may grow on me more. What's estimated cost on aero kit? If I have to a$k then I $houldn't even think about it probably....

Great idea. I had not thought of that color. I like the wide single stripe up the middle. I'll look more on the NAM site.

Way off topic, my first research on NAM as an owner (finally) is finding a way to have my Iphone in a position where I can see the screen without reaching down and picking it out of the cup holder. Ugh. The design could be better!

hehe my pleasure...

The chrome scoop comment is completely subjective (I just don't like them).

The aerokit shouldn't cost you more than $2500 painted and fitted, and you could probably get $500 for your old bumpers

Iflyga. here is an example but not perfect. You would need to pick the right color... maybe a slightly deeper blue than the stock color.

Sweet colors and nice photo work spinned, thanks! I might be doin stripes sooner than I thought. Lowering the car makes it look right. Almost sits to high above the wheels from the factory. And with an aero kit it would be truly awesome.

Do you mind telling me what dealer you bought it at and if they took $ off MSRP?

Sorry about that robotrock. Cannot wait to hear it's with you at home! Would love to hear about what you ordered. I can conform your suspicion, yes it gets head turns and comments.

Towson mini. They were great to work with. Low pressure and reflected Mini passion cause, at least my MA, was a MCS owner. They didn't take any off MSRP but worked with me in some other ways. They treated me and my patiently waiting family with respect which I value more than the bottom line most of the time.

Here's mine...

Terrible (quick) pics just to get it in the thread. Note the factory race splitter and factory Recaros (alcantara). I also have the alcantara steering wheel, shift boot, and handbrake boot. Car is lowered on KW springs (20mm).

Sweet!
Well you're putting on the miles faster than me. Bought mine in April and just hit 2,600 miles including two track days. They look cool when they are moving or sitting still. Did you change your sway bar out yet? It looks like you have coilovers on it now too.
