I bet you ordered just the covers, and if you were crafty with a dremel you could do it. I would just epoxy the cuts later
I wouldn't do it myself. The parts are expensive and it would be too complicated to get right. They need to be precision machined, especially since they're the steering wheel where you see them up close all the time.
Thanks-but if you think waiting on delivery is tough, wait until you are contemplating the break-in period on your new Mini!
Hehe. Yeah, for me it's both sides of the coin: I've already been through break-in on my first MINI so I have the experience, BUT... It wasn't an S so it will definitely be more difficult keeping the rev's and mph's within the limits.

Besides you won't kill the car if you occasionally get the rpm over 4,000. Its constant abouse that will do it in...

You could have hit sport button starting at mile zero. It has zero affect on break-in. All it does is change the throttle mapping and steering ratio.
spinned - I like those wheels! Were they on the car on the lot or did you add them afterwards? Always been a big fan of those but have not seen them on a factory JCW until now.
Love the BRG JCW. I wanted the JCW factory but it was going to be several months for a cabrio JCW so I'm going to mod the MCSc myself the JCW+ on my own.
