This is a pretty good write up on the specs and how it is different than MCS.

That should keep me occupied.
The guy at the dealership told me it used to take almost a year to get it over here. So I guess 8 weeks is not bad considering what it could be. I just want to know when I can order through Amazon and use the "get it tomorrow" option.

If you're looking for HP, you're looking at the wrong class of cars. Try Mitsu with the evo, Corvette, BMW, Porsche, etc.....

Although, the R56 Factory JCW is the highest HP production Mini (I hope, and someone correct me if I'm wrong).

LOL. I know, eventually, we'll bypass the dealer and they'll drop off the car at your door.

"Buy It Now!" and select FedEx one-day shipping.

Haha, funny you should say that because I am having it delivered to my house. I ordered through a Company called Autoland who works with my credit union. It looks like they order through their partner dealerships, turns out my JCW was ordered through South Bay mini in Los Angeles. Anywho, AutoLand takes delivery from the dealership and delivers it right to your house. No dealership for me. But I guess you still need a dealership for the test drive.

oh yea that would be the way to do it. Just watch out for one-click ordering. We had a dvd show up one day that my 2 year old decided to order with the one-click ordering, I can just imagine if that was a MINI showing up on my front door, hard to return that.

...and the warantee work. Maybe you'll be lucky. You won't have one of the "first" JCWs off the line. I wonder what will be screwed up with our cars.

This is the first time I've ever done this. Not only am I breaking my own rule of NEVER get a first year edition/model but I'm getting a car thats in a batch that's one of the first produced. AND the nearest dealership is one hour away and the dealership I bought my car from is 1.75 hours away . This should be very interesting.

True, warranty work is important. This is actually my first new car ever but I am typically an early adopter with everything else, so why not the car too. Of course now my wife wants a new car too.

i have decided to stop modding my 07 mcs and save up for the factory jcw . it makes more since to mod a car that is more powerful to start with. its going to take a year before i can order so you guys get your factory minis over here and start modding them so i will know what to get . then one thing i will get is the jcw suspension but the car will be light on the options . no sunroof no, auto a/c ,no leather but i will clear bra the front and im getting the driving lights. now what color? oh well i have a year i hope that is long enough to decide.

lol ... tell me about it. I mentioned my concerns about getting an early revision of the car to my saleslady while ordering the car... she didn't bat an eyelash nor did she try to blow smoke up my **** saying instead "well you do run that risk..."

"...and we both know how MINIs can be." THAT would have been a shocker.

in one year the mods will be crazy...I know there is a short shifter from JCW on the works...and a few other pieces.

Well, I can't say that I have total recall of all that was said, but I sort of recall perhaps hearing a muttering of something like that, or "especailly MINI" or "...and with MINI..." near under her breath and trailing off. ...lol.

Okay, has any of you goobers taken delivery of your JCW yet ?!

If my car makes it on the boat scheduled to leave on the 23rd, I can maybe pick it up the second week of July.

Is anyone projected to take delivery earlier then 1st/2nd week of July?

I don't think any of the dealers will be allowed to release the car before it's official release date of July 14th.

We'll be on the same boat I think. My scheduled complete date is today as well. Who's your dealer (PM if you don't want to publicly disclose)?
