Hmmm...

My MA told me my car would be ready for the week of 14 July. But both the website and ASK MINI say I still don't have a production date.

Should I be worried?

I need to sign-in here I guess, this thread being the "OFFICIAL" one and all...
I just ordered mine yesterday. Only going into the system today; no details on production date yet.

DS/DS, quite loaded... only thing not added other than dealer options is the 'stage 0.5' sport susp., factory bodykit and xenons. ...and I'm still considering the latter two before it's too late!

Hi all first time post, first time MINI owner, figured I'd go big with JCW if I was gonna do it. My order also went in Yesterday, I ordered through Autoland which I believe orders through partner dealers, but anyways no production number, she told me 2-3 weeks before we get the number, and they told her 8-10 weeks. So hopefully the beginning of August.

Black on Black

Dan

I'd check with the Sales manager and get a real answer and a printout of your order and production status...just to feel better..good luck

Just my luck, they are going to start building my car next week and the plant shuts down.

I do feel sorry for all the folks around the world hugely impacted by the fuel prices. Maybe governments around the world will sit up and take notice. I hope the emerging third world countries really start to take notes and implement alternative solutions before this happens to them.

No. If they weren't already on the production schedule (4 weeks ago), you could custom spec.

I don't think it will be a big delay. Those drivers can't block the ports forever. Pretty soon the police will move in and remove them. Spain will lose millions a day in lost/late commerce. The UK petrol thing concerns me more.

I have such bad luck, this was bound to happen.

Here is what I can tell you from the case studies I have done recently, this will not last long. Give it a week or so and production will continue, just be patient. And after gas hits an all time high. It will come back down to two dollars per gallon in the next two years when we get a new president, if not the world economy is in trouble and they will not let that happen.

I tend not to believe that. With the third world coming online, screaming for cars, everyone has to get in line for fuel (double/triple current worldwide demand).

And there is something called peak oil, we're about to experience (who knows when) and contend with. I just can't see oil being a sustainable resouce in the long term. if anything, cost will go higher and higher. In the future, our Mini's will be the fuel pigs of tomorrow. Well, maybe not the JCW's they're already pigs LOL.

My dealership had allocation for 3 JCW builds in June, mine was on the 26th based on there sheet. My salesman actually told me now that the order has been placed the build date may even move up. I'll believe it when I see it.

Dealership said my 'production week' is to be the 1st week in July and should have it @ the end of the month, beginning of next. Wooh Hoo! Fingers crossed the current furlow lasts only this weekend. Else all bets are off.

Mine is already loaded on the ship bound for its new home.

I was at MTTS yesterday and they had 2 JCW Clubmans and I JCW. I spent the better part of my day talking to a Factory Rep from Germany about the car and when I showed him my VIN he really opened up and started to spill the beans about some stuff.

Just a hint that new rims will be available for the JCW in about 6 weeks.

To those that ordered, used the "Order Tracking" page in the online "Mini Owner's Lounge", how long was it before the actual production date that you saw status change from "On Order" to "Scheduled for Production"? A day? A few days? Or a few weeks before the prod date?

Thanx,
-steve
