Anybody elses wipers stutterlike noise?

On my F56 the wipers had a squeeky noise which went away after spraying WD40 on the screws of the wipers. On my F60 i tought they would have fixed wiper issues, but on these my wipers have a strage screaming noise like they are stuttering as if the window isn't wet enough, like it is dry. Anyone else have this?

What are the condition of your wipers? The rubber portion may be fine but the mechanism holding it together may be deteriorating.

Don't spray WD-40 on anywhere near your window. It's just water and oil. It'll leave your glass blurry and hard to see at night. Also, it'll promote rust on your screws.

It's a 6 months old CM. A demo car. Can't be deteriorating right? Looks like new. Didn't know wd40 had water in it...I didn't put it on this car

Hmmm. Maybe you can switch the wipers to source the odd noise.
My point is that WD-40 is not a good lubricant.

Can you post a video?

Mine don't do that, but I will say the blades are garbage. Mine steak and don't do a clean wipe at all. (Car is brand new)

You might need to tweak the wiper arm by twisting it slightly towards the direction of the skip. I often do this after replacing wiper blades. I do this to make sure rubber edge is perfectly perpendicular to the glass.

View this video to get a better idea of what needs adjusting. I usually use an adjustable wrench with a rag over the arm to protect the finish. Tighten the wrench on the arm up close to where it pivots with the blade and gently twist towards the direction it’s skipping or chattering. Usually will take several tries to get smooth operatiing wipers.

I've noticed that if you've treated your window with a sealant that can happen.

Why not have the dealer fix it?

Mine does that if there is not enough moisture on the windshield. I view that sound as a 'sign' to turn off the dam wipers.

Yeah have the dealer put a new set of blades on there and be done with it. Or run by chiner-mart and pick up a set of Michelin stealth blades, they are quiet,

So went to the dealer for some startup issues. Thankfully, they changed the wipers. Haven't had decent rain since, but for now they are silent )
