@Bruce R I've seen the Mini OEM optional keyfobs covers list NFC as an option, where the aftermarkets ones did not. I'm curious as to what the NFC is for. The only thing I've seen so far is that there may be communication between an Android phone and the keyfob itself, as an iPhone currently does use NFC. Anyone have any more infomaiton on the NFC and what exactly it is used for?

I think I ordered off ebay, but I found better prices later on AliExpress. Both were slow boat from China slow.

The one I have is metal. Like these: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000...rch-mainSearch

I think I paid over $20 for mine, these are <$12 with free shipping.

Ordered this replica from AliExpress 2 years ago. Even the box was a pretty accurate copy of the official merch. Paid less than $20 including shipping. Just changed it over from my ‘16 to my new JCW.

Yep, I really like that one. I did order the JCW Pro one from Mini. Not sure what the NFC chip will do for me but I wanted it anyway.

I like mine because it is not huge for no apparent reason. And this style comes in a JCW version as well. Now if I can just stop popping the hatch every night with my key in my pocket, I'd be doing something.

That one is nla, when MINI set a product no longer available, they let us know at order time and then its set. What we have listed is what they have left.
