The tint looks really nice. With black seats it make it even more effective at providing privacy from would-be thieves of anything you might have inside. Since my seats are the malt brown, I suspect I’ll go darker with my tint.
@ironhead3fan yes, I think the tint looks just right👍
I just checked Mini USA and my order is back “in transit.” I assume it’s on a truck barreling my way; CA to CO, starting to feel like it’s going to happen 🤭

G-52 looks like we’ll both have ours soon. Hopefully you’ll get it this week. I’m a little concerned about the upcoming storm but I suspect that they will clear the roads quickly. Hard to believe it’s an hour away and has been for a couple days and yet I can’t get it.
@ironhead3fan I am curious whether the dealer did your tint and did you include the windshield; looks great. My order is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, weather depending. I don’t have a trade in and I’m 47 miles from the dealer, so I’ll be taking Uber ($$) or do an express bus/light rail/6 mile hike combo, lol 😲

No, the dealer did not tint the windows. One of the local tint shops here did it. I think the place has changed hands a few times, but the same shop has been tinting my vehicles since the mid 90’s. They typically do a great job.
Guys, I accidentally posted in the wrong place with the photos of my new ride. I'm going to try to link in the images from that post here rather than upload again.

It was an awesome day!! The Mini arrived as ordered and looks great I love the seats, they are cloth surrounded by alcaterra. I took the scenic route home via Evergreen, CO and was delayed by a herd of elk who were not intimidated by the Mini. I really like the manual transmission, very smooth. The rev matching is a little weird, not bad just different. It only occurs in sport mode. @Bruce R My clutch pedal travel is 2-2.5 inches and releases about 50-60% from the floor. Seems very smooth and unlike what you described. The trek to the dealership was as advertised; a 3 mile walk on black ice to the express bus, 2 train rides (public transport was awesome) followed by a 4 mile walk to the dealership. En route, I got to bushwhack through a ravine and slink through a barbed wire fence All worthwhile for the ride home! I’ll be checking in periodically on this thread; congrats again to all who have new Minis! I’ll post a few more pics.
@G-52 Congratulations! That’s sweet! One thing though, your sales guys should have mentioned—the stripes add 15 HP. 😂
I like the color combo, and interior looks good too. Thanks for the info on your clutch. Have fun with it. I just configured my Alexa feature on the Mini app so I will have her in the car. And I got the SXM radio service activated yesterday and set some presets. I ordered mine with summer tires which don’t work well here this time of the year, but a new set of wheels have arrived. Tires come tomorrow. Just waiting on ECS to deliver the TPMS sensors and they will be ready to mount.
I might wait a couple paychecks to get tint done but I am a little jealous of the tint @ironhead3fan got done.
I concur! I was telling @ironhead3fan that I was not sure if I made a mistake in ordering the Pepper White after I saw yours. But I just had a metallic silver/gray car, so I think the Pepper White was the right choice for me. Your car looks almost white in the photos, but I know it looks more silver in person.
For anyone interested in timing: I ordered a new F56 JCW from Loveland (Colorado, USA) on November 18th, 2021. Production is scheduled to start the week of February 14th, 2022....
MyGarage only shows that it's "Scheduled for Production". My salesperson gave me the date (by week number, I converted to the week of Feb 14th).
QUESTION: Will MyGarage provide the ship name? I'd love to track mine as well (as I did with my R55 in 2008), but I'm not sure where everyone is getting that detail from.
I'm attaching an image from my build. I cheated and edited the side mirrors to reflect the carbon fiber I'm adding at the dealer (no, I'm *not* a photo editor LOL) ...
@kbleicher Nice! My experience was my salesperson texted me with the carrier information. The website will reflect “In transit” when it leaves port. One point of confusion for me was… when your car leaves the Oxford factory, the website will also indicate your car “in transit.” I believe it’s rail transport. When it arrives in Southampton, website will state “in Port.” Website will then revert back to “In transit” once it boards a carrier. I found the website to be timely in its updates. You can also get updates via the 1-866-275-6464 no. Congrats and enjoy the process

Congratulations on ordering a new JCW! I know that sometimes to get my status to update properly, I had to go into Private or Incognito mode in my internet browser. Sometimes browser caching would not show the update as soon as it should have.
So did a little customization. New shift **** and boot, new wheels and tires. Sorry for the photos being a little too close. My iPhone confused me a little. Thought it was wider angle.
New wheel day Big brakes in full view Wheel brake clearance. Real leather boot Raceseng ****. Thing feels so much better in my hand than stock ****. Had to do something about the huge key fob too
@Bruce R Way to make it your own! That shift **** looks more comfortable than the stocker, and the new shoes look better than stock 18 wheels. Is that a new shifter boot as well? The only thing I had a question about was the NFC chip in the key fob. What is that used for exactly?

I'm not sure what you mean. This is the standard key fob with a different outer case. It has all the same electronics as your key fob. Yes, new shift boot, real leather. Ordered off evilBay from a UK seller. Included the plastic ring at the bottom as well.
