So for everyone who is ordering a JCW (not the manual ppl!) just to give you a quick idea.. I placed my order on April 10 and on April 24 they put her in production. I would say for this phase thats pretty dam good.

 

Most dealerships are only getting one production slot. You must have gotten that one slot. Mine won't go into production until late May and I ordered it on April 11th.

 

I was Very surprised when I found out that I got that slot. The estimated production completion date is May 6, so I'm hope big for a late May pickup.

 

Wait a tick... Where are you from? I was told that someone placed on order the day before I did on the 10th. Maybe it was you. You stole my slot!!!! LOL!

For one thing, the website says that the park assist is a conflict with the rear view camera + PDC. It isn't a conflict. The garage door opener rear view mirror is available as well. The the last one is Active Driving Assistant. They aren't really secrets because they are listed on the German and UK site, but just absent from MINIUSA.com

 

O ok I can see what you mean. You and I'll will still drive off the the dealer with our new JCWs due to a 2-3 week delay in going to run into since I'm registristing the car in FL but buying it in Boston.

 

Why are you registering it in FL?

 

I'm a resident of Fl. I also benefit from a program that allows me to buy a car and not pay any state tax on it. This time around its saving me about 2.5k. Also honesty I would hate to have a Mass license plate in the front of my car lol.

 

Lucky you! I hate the front license plates too.

 

O yea and no state inspections / state inspection - emissions sticker / no annual county tax lol

Just keeping it on the dl because it's 7k worth of options to add the drivers assist. And adaptive cruise control..eesh

 

Wow that was quick, I remember an 18 month wait on the S when I did mine in 2003. Have fun tooling around in your JCW. I was thinking of picking one up after I get my truck paid off.

 

18 months? Holy **** lol. Yea I'm still paying off my current mini but I was able to get more then 2k off MSRP so I took it lol. I hope you jump on the JCW train lol.

After reading so many of these replies, I think I was lucky. I ordered my JCW Iconic Hardtop on August 1st. I think the European vacation period in August helped the factory to catch up on parts inventory. I got everything I ordered on my car and had it delivered to my home on December 1st. I had purchased 4 other MINIs over the years from the same dealer and I wonder if they put me in a slot.
Anyway, I hope all you guys(or gals) will be as happy with your new MINIs as I am.

@Bruce R what a beautiful car! You nailed it with the specs imo and I love the color combination, especially with the black wheels. I switched from your colors last minute as my previous Mini was pepper white. Congrats!!
