F56 Looking for some 18x8.5 et32 (6.01BS) 5x112 Race Wheels
Adding the Fender Flairs to my 2019 Mini JCW and need some lightweight 18x8.5 ~et32 wheels that will clear the front brakes. I will still probably need to use a 5-7mm wheel spacer.
Seems very hard to find...
Well I finally found some 18x8.5"5x112 et35 (6.1"BS) CB66.5 Anthracite Colored Wheels and will order some 255/35/18 ADVAN A052s after the wheels arrive and I test fit them. I will probably add a 5-7mm spacer on the front for clearance. The Wheels are great looking and only 22.5# each...
Not gonna tell ya what brand but they are GREAT!!!
They will be finished by next weekend most likely...still deciding whether to gelcoat to make them look like the other flat black pieces or paint them the international orange or. wrap them or...who knows.....
The pics will be when the Mini is finished with Wheels/Tires/Flairs
The flairs are actually fiberglass so the texture is not "exactly" the same but also not far off with a gelcoat...for a flatter look and texture. They mount in the same predrilled holes on the Mini and the "clips" are the same also...you do have to cut away some metal below the stock holes to make true clearance and then paint or coat them to stop any rusting down the road. With pics I will be able to show more...
They do give more clearance so wider wheel/tire combo will fit properly...they say 9" wheels but we know all that depends on what tires you run and the probability of adding a reasonable spacer for brake clearance and wider tire clearance. The wheels are on the way and once I fit them on the Mini BEFORE I mount the tires I can double check the fit. If they aren't correct for some reason I can send them back (as long as tires have not been mounted on the wheels). I don't think there will be any issue tho that can't be adjusted with a correct spacer...
The TSW Nurburgring wheels are 18x8.5, 32et and 6.2 backspace. I have them on my GP3 with 235/40/18 tires atm. And they weigh 20lbs. Just for future info and all
Very eager to see pictures and hear your experience with the installation. Had my eyes on these for a while but was hesitant to pull the trigger fearing fitment issues.

I saw those but the CB is 72.1 not 66.56 (not a huge deal) and the price was basically $500 more than the MOTOsincluding shipping $1069.99 whereas the TSWs are $1452 plus shipping

Yeah, that's fair . I did have to get rings for them, which I totally forgot about. The center caps also don't seem to be able to handle track driving heat very well, which is a bummer.

We are definitely "limited" on choices for our f56 Minis...I can't wait to finish up the installation...mount the wheels and tires...drive and get pics
Because the tires are going to be wider...I would probably need some ?size? wheels spacers for strut clearance
NOTE: The Aesthetic Wheel Flairs ( F56 F57 Aesthetic Widebody Flares w/o PDC (keepitaesthetic.com) ) do not come as an easy well-fitted "bolt-on"...Unless you are ready to CUT AWAY some fiberglass and ADD fiberglass elsewhere...find a way to attach since the "tabs or clips" are NOT DONE RIGHT of NOT PLACED RIGHT...Be ready to do a lot of work...
Mine will end up coming out great after MANY HOURS/DAYS or adjustments!!! Doing some Metal Work...Fiberglass Work...Paint/Coating. Pics will be after We are finished ... I am racing this weekend in Beeville Texas in a 2020 Camaro SS 1LE at the
2021 Tire Rack SCCA South Texas Champ Tour @ Naval Air Station Chase Field
(It is stock and the owner is racing in B Street so I will race the Stock Camaro in CAMC Class...hope to finish in the top half)
Just a teaser pics of the start of tweeking the flairs to fit properly...adding fiberglass where needed to fill in open space...adding steel in wheel well near the outside area of fender well...and some other tweeks. Next pics when posted will be at the finish...
