Searched and read several threads on this. Looking to see if this feature is now available via Bimmercode. I see where BMW onwers have been able to turn the feature on. Also can it be used without the shifter paddles? I figure you can, just want to make sure. Also any reviews of how it performs with the standard 6-speed transmission? Thanks

 

Can’t be done with bimmercode, you need esys to modify it. It works great with F56 S, use mine in sport setting everyday and no issues.

 

Thats it, you cannot enable it with bimmercode. I have the 'new' 7 step DCT and got my sport transmission (2TB) enabled when I was in a shop to remap it, they did it automatically - but I asked afterwards - it is pretty noticable with the DCT - it is incredibly quick compared to the standard transmission.

You can try to make the following change in expert mode in the EGS ECU, given that it is available in bimmercode ... i use ESYS primarily

In comparing my KOMBI coding there were no FDL changes made. Can't compare my BDC ECU before and after coding backups due to issue (error message) with the tokenmaster cafd tool ... pretty confident you cna do this with the 1 FDL change above
other "historical" ECU "ICM" isn't present in F56 project cars, and i'm assuming this histoical ECU was lumped into BDC when that ECU was introduced in 2014 for F56 & F15 projects
