I have a really dumb question about modding

Is it possible to fit an F60 Countryman plug-in hybrid system in an F56? I'm a complete noob at car modding and I don't intent to actually do this, but the idea of hybridizing has always fascinated me. From my research it seems the difficulty with changing the engine on a regular car would be engine bay dimensions and the availability of an ECU, but the F60 apparently uses the same engine as an F56, and the ECU is made by the same company. A brief look at the emergency responder manual tells me the parts you'd need are the starter motor, the electronic control system, the battery pack and the charging port (which would require some modifications to a side panel). The batteries would need more space, but luckily the Mini comes with purely cosmetic backseats.

Has anyone every done this? Is it really too stupid to even consider?
