2.5L F56 engine, because 2.0L wasn't enough

Many people were asking about making real performance parts for the 3rd gen so I jumped in head first as usual. This is the 1st full sleeved big bore F engine stroker in the world........ Keep your eyes peeled for all of the cool parts coming for this monster of a Mini

custom made ductile iron sleeves capable of 50psi
fresh sleeves and deck, bore and hone yet to complete

You might think of making it all wheel drive to harness all the power you might end up with! More power is not always a good thing if the chassis & drivetrain can’t handle it! Just sayin....sounds delicious though....good luck!

Jan,
Any plan to upgrade the torque converter on the 6 speed Auto trans? Or this will be only for manual transmission?

I will be checking into some Auto options once we have finished up the manual testing

I assume you're modifying the dome volume in the heads, changing out rod length, or crank size with this bore? Because you'll just be running very high compression numbers. By calculation for static compression, you'd need to run 91.7mm piston diameter to get 2499cc and that'll put your compression ratio at 13.2. That's going to be one hell of an engine to tune and work against pre-detonation. You'll probably then need to lower your stroke to about 70mm to get 10.0 compression, or 78mm stroke to get 11.0 compression assuming no change in crank nor doing any head work..

Of course there are various other ways to deal with compression ratio, and the VVT in Twin-Powered features are already in place if you can tinker with valve overlap and timing. Kind of an interesting thread to follow. Subscribed.

Is this a 2.0L that has been enlarged?
