Hi all.
I recently purchased a 2015 F56 with 52,000 miles and I’m looking to do as much repair and maintenance on the car as I can. I have searched high and low and the only service manual I can find is by Haynes, and curiously enough is only available on the British version of their website: https://haynes.com/en-gb/mini/cooper/2014-2018
or on EBay.
Does anyone know if this is a decent quality service manual, or is there another one hiding somewhere in the universe? Alternatively, is there a really good website with lots of instructional videos?
I poked around the NEWTIS website for a while, but found it difficult to navigate. Is that the best source of information?
I am reasonably mechanically minded, but wouldn’t want to undertake too much on this car, without help, as it is much newer than anything I’ve ever owned.
Thanks in advance for any replies.
Got to be better than nothing. Surprised Haynes put one out before Bentley did. Looks like 2013 is right now the last year of Mini Bentley covers. And they're even more limited on BMWs.
Are the haynes pictures any better than they used to be. no flash and taken in a dark garage i seem to recall.
"Tap with a large hammer to remove"
"installation is the opposite of removal" ARGH

Ha! I remember those old manuals too. I haven’t received the new one yet, but I’ll let you know as soon as I do.
I received the Haynes manual several days ago. Without having used it for any repairs yet, I can definitely say it’s much better than nothing, but the pictures leave something to be desired. They are low resolution black-and-white photos which are helpful, but not super high-quality. I’d be curious to compare this to a Bentley manual, which I have not seen.
Once I get around to using the manual for repairs I’m sure it will be helpful, and I will update this post at that time.
