F55 Fuse box location/access

Hi All

Picked up a 2017 Mini 4 door F55. Want to use radar detector to hang off mirror but I have no power mirror for a tap (I do have sun roof). looking to add a fuse in fuse box and run a wire up to mirror. Cant find fuse box (looks to be behind glove box) b ut how to do this? And advice and or anyone do this? Thanks!

Tap fuse #50, its a fuse that is controlled by the ignition - https://myredmini.com/boost-gauge-installed/

Excellent and sweet car! I cant seem to get panel off to access fuse box. I have 2017 F55..Any help here?, thanks!!!

Interesting, its not like mine in the picture? Is it still in the glove box or on the passenger side where your legs would sit?

You do have a slick car!! Anyway, its in glove box...what is best way to get it out up to pillar? Paper diagram in fuse box only shows fuse number and not what it operates! Any help here? Thanks

So you are going to have to run the left (looking at the glove box), take the 2 side panels off around the center console, snake it like I did under the opening, up to the steering column, over to the driver side and then up the pilar that way.

It sounds like a lot but it is really easy.

I for the life of me cant remember where I found the fuse descriptions though.

Thanks for the tip. Now I only need the friggin fuse/description so I know which to tap... Will Mini tell me?

Look in the back of the glovebox, there's access there. And in it you'll find a piece of paper that describes what fuses are which... I'm currently trying to figure out which one controls the control ****.

Ive managed to tap the 20 amp cigarette fuse (65) and now looking for a ground. I removed the passenger side Lower right panel and nothing. Also looked up near fuse box, nada...Anyone have an F55 2017 or newer who can help or guide as I need a ground wire. Thanks!

grounds are pretty easy, the wire just needs to be touching the frame some place

Resolved the ground: I removed the lower passenger side panel near the floor (about 4" above floor) and tapped a screw into the metal of car close to the door weatherstripping, concealed behind panel... Thanks
