F56 A/C Not Working
Greetings!
Purchased 2017 Mini Cooper S F56 with about 4k miles off a salvaged dealer who reconstructed the front end. Damage was mild, air bags did not deploy, needed a new hood and radiator as well as paint work.
My Dad did the inspection and it was January in the midwest so I'm guessing he forgot to test the A/C. I'm sure he fell for a car that looked very clean... Since receiving the car, I've been holding it for a few months since my wife returned from deployment. First complaint is in!
A/C is not blowing cold... :/
A/C and Max A/C lights illuminate, but we just get very hot air. The air is a bit hotter than outside, even.
I've started with fuses. There are a lot of fuses missing. I would think some of these fuses relate to features the car doesn't have. I'm currently in search of a more descriptive fuse diagram than the one included in the fuse box.
For what its worth, fuses missing are 31, 38, 50-52, 55, 63, 67, 73, 75, 79, 81, 82, 85-90, 92-96, 129.
Anyone have thoughts on where to start?

I have a manifold pressure guage but the provided couplers don't seem to fit this car's high and low pressure lines. Anyone know if the F56 made any changes to the size of the pressure line connections?
I'm pretty sure most/all of the missing fuses are for features this car does not have.

Unfortunately, the nearest mini dealer is 3 hours away as I live near Fresno, CA.
This 2017 F56 definitely has differentda/cc couponsco than my '09 R56 has. In the research I was able to do yesterday, I assumed this was because the car is not R134a. I dropped the car at a Toyota dealership that services R1234yf. Unfortunately, although they can service both freons, even they don't own a coupling that fits the mini.
I'm hoping someone can chime in with some experience and a suggestion. Otherwise I guess I'll have to drive it too the Mini dealer.
Side note, the compressor is definitely not turning on at all. So it may not even need fromf, this could be electrical or a bad compressor clutch.
The car has 6,000 miles with a new radiator, among other things after the collision.

A/C Fixed! Wanted to update this thread for completeness.
My Mini is R-1234yf. There are very few shops right now that can service this type of freon, pretty much dealerships only. I even had a dealer tell me they could service it, but when I dropped the car off they "couldn't figure out how to hook up to the system." They must of been trying to use R-134 equipment...
My car's A/C held pressure but was completely out of freon. I recharged it with R-1234. Unfortunately, that freon is ridiculously expensive.
If I had wanted to, I could of bought the equipment off Ebay for a few hundred bucks, including the freon, and done it myself. Since my A/C was completely empty, I could have even bought adapters and just charged it with R-134a. That would have saved a bunch of money on the expensive freon. However, I don't really understand the differences between the two systems and figured I would avoid the unknown.
I guess when my car was put back together they "forgot" to charge the freon. I actually called the seller and that's what he told me... Doesn't really matter now.
Blowing cold!!
