My tires lasted 16,500 miles!
I think they're in my sig. I went for service, and tire rotation. The driver's rear had a slow leak for 8 months. Took 2 weeks for light to go on. They said it was a small nail "hole". Tires were down to 2/32 on that one, so no fix it. As I recall my 2007 RFs lasted 26k. I realize these are stickier tires but that's pretty bad tire wear. I realize I drive this car harder than my MCS but do you guys have the same problem? Good news is dealership only charged me $700 for new tires out the door mounted/balanced/tax. Bridgestones. I suspect they'll wear better but maybe not be as sticky.

They wore pretty evenly. I could have gone another several thousand miles, but wanted to not have the leak anymore. The one with the leak wore a little more, TPS would go off at 30psi. And I thought the price was OK. Last time I looked a set of RFs were $1,100 mounted.

Bridgestone 205/45. I have no idea what model these are. I think Discount Tire has them for $150/per. So I didn't get no smoking deal from Mini N. Scottsdale but I probably couldn't have saved any either.

$700 mounted with hardware isn't too bad then. Driveguards in 205/45R17 are about $550 + $75 or so shipping, probably $25/corner mounting/balancing and hardware.
They are a treadwear tire, so they put that above basically all other traits - read: they aren't going to be very grippy or have the feel of something like a Dunlop Sport SP01.

Yup, always pick what you want out of a tire, but never expect everything out of a tire. Tires that claim to do everything generally do nothing.
20k out of a max performance summer is actually quite good life, but they are super nice and sticky and great for carving corners, or even light lapping on a track/AutoX, etc.
50k is entirely possible out of a harder long-life tire, but don't ever do something like an AutoX, or you will rip the corner tread clean off them in one session - and not have any grip to show for it.

I'm running Conti DW summers on mine and am quite pleased with the ride and performance. Still too new to judge longevity, but expect to get north or 20K miles on them. I do some spirited driving, but mostly acceleration w/ no wheel spin, I'd bet if I drove twisty roads and drove the car at it's limits, I'd likely get 15K miles or less on a set of summers.

My Dunlop run flats lasted 20,000 miles, I just replaced them with Michelin pilot sport a/s 3+. So far I really like them as I feel like they supply at least 90 percent of the grip and seem to let go gradually instead of all at once, like the Dunlops did. I wanted the PSS but wound up getting the all season due to the lead times and tread wear rating.
