Gold Jack Mirror Caps

I recently purchased the Gold Jack side mirror caps and now want to add the same for the interior rear view mirror - but Mini doesn't make one.

Isn't this strange?

I just ordered from them. I just hope the colors match as the picture on their site looks a little off.

I just think it odd that Mini wouldn't make a matching interior rear view mirror cover.

I thought so also on website and was worried that color was slightly off, but it matched perfectly. I have done the door handles/ interior mirror/ and other interior areas. they were shipped quickly about 10- 15 days. price was a lot better than other mini sites that sell these and they probably get them from these websites themselves.

Be advised, than a few of these China made products come covered with a very fine plastic coating that needs to be removed. Colors may look off (muted, satin finish, etc), Work the edge and pull the protective plastic off.

Gas Cap I bought looked off until I removed the coating, it was a perfect color match when removed.

Quite right you are USA-RET. Sorry I didn't mention that. I have contacted owner of that shop when ordering the comfort access door handles because the webite didn't show that. the owner got back to me right away with photos of the door handles. I should note that at the time I was working the night shift rotation in my schedule so I was talking online at 2 in the morning.

Looks good. The touches on the dash are very nice. Are they stickers? I've considered some but worried about them leaving residue if/when removed.

But you went with the Black Jack, which you could have gotten directly from Mini (for a price of course).

As I wrote, for some reason Mini doesn't make a Gold Jack Interior Mirror Cap. I should get mine sometime in the next week or so. I'll post pics.

Thanks again.

Nothing in this car is stickers except for the stickers on the visors and they cover the safety message. everything is ABS plastic.

Sorry to keep bugging you but how do the dashboard covers attach? Similar to clip-ons? Double-sided tape?

Are they from the same place on Aliexpress as mentioned above?

Thanks for your time.

I have JCW Pro dash covers, purchased on eBay. They're similar to the gold jack ones. They attach with double sided trim tape. The passenger side is super easy to attach. The driver's side is a bit of a pin because you have to get the cover behind the gauges. Takes about 10 minutes total to install both sides.

The install time for me was slightly longer as I removed the tach and speedo to gain better access. 2 screws and a connector.

Just got and installed the rear view mirror cover. There is a very slight difference in color, but I guess I can live with it.

Color looks good in photo. On some items that have a smaller area the color can appear to be slightly different. I do like that Gold jack look with the VO color. Enjoy your personal look.

Sorry to say that I'm not really happy with the mirror cover. The tape on one side doesn't hold, as you can see in the picture. The upper right edge doesn't stick. I know it's minor but...I wonder if I take it off:
  1. Will the tape leave a mark on the mirror?
  2. Will double-sided tape do the trick?

Of course, from the front of the car, it looks great. But I'm constantly looking at the defect when I drive.

Pick up a roll of the small 3M auto trim tape. That'll take care of it..

Thanks. I also had my doubts but am quite pleased with the look. I'll try to post a pic of the full effect after my weekend wash.
