FINALLY...It has been officially built. It was produced 8/18 and now just waiting for the ship assignment and it will be on its way. Working for MINI doesnt make the process any easier but it will be worth it once it arrives.

I placed the order for my '17 JCW convertible just a few days ago.

So it looks like it'll be more around 3 months than 8 weeks?
Impatience attack!

I got it with with the auto, the 17" rims and the brown leather too.

My concept was to go for a sort of 50's 60's ferrari look, with silver classic rims (wish they were 18s), brown seats, and white/wood interior.
So I got the satellite gray doors/sides and dashboard, and the wood trim, but with the brown leather and the chili read exterior. I've never seen another one like this, and there's no picture of the actual thing anywhere to be found.
It's a bit of a gamble, but i hope it'll be a classic luxurious feeling as I hope!

The last 2 minis i've had also were going for that classic look. The blazing red cooper S with the satellite interior was so controversial with my dealership that they tried to convince me to not order it that way. But they all loved it when it finally arrived.

I hear ya. My next Mini will be the JCW. Love the MCS, but lusting for the JCW 2018.

 

Congrats on your order! It looks awesome. Mine just made it to port yesterday and I should have it by the 29th. I placed my order on 5/2 so it has
taken a really long time...

Its almost in my possession though....I will let you know what I think once I get it and will post plenty of pictures.
