Exclamation LED Headlight Question

In a Countryman with stock halogen headlights, where would one mount the driver of an aftermarket LED? In the headlight housing itself? Cut a hole through the dust cover and mount it in the engine bay?

I just put LED headlight on my CM. I installed the controller in the housing and i didn't have to cut any holes in the dust cover. So far no issues with heat.

If you put Leds headlight bulbs in the stock halogen headlight you would blind oncoming traffic as the pattern is not focused.

I would either do the Xenons or get led bulbs for the Xenon projectors as they focus the light and will not blind people , also the pattern is much better with the projectors, so you will see better also.
