Would You Buy a MINI Sedan?

According to motoring file.com, MINI might try to boost sales by offering a MINI sedan. Would you buy something similar to this?

Absolutely not. Leave the sedans to BMW. They're pretty great at them. Worst idea ever.

Not Interested in a MINI Sedan....whats the point? We already have the 5 door HT, 6 door Clubman and the Countryman.

I'll reserve judgement till I see it.

It is no secret that Americans do not like hatchbacks, unless its in jacked up SUV form. MINI is just trying to widen its appeal, but I don't feel like they need to chase every possible dollar that they can, just because they can.

But money talks...

Look at all that cargo space! LOL

Seriously though, I like the Clubman and think it's a real interesting car and I think the new F60 Countryman will be cool too, but... A sedan is just...no...

Let's hope this one stays in the rumor mill

It does provide extra room for junk in the trunk. Nobody would buy that, except for a pontiac Aztek owner. No disrespect intended.

As long as Mini doesn't stop making the two door hard top I don't care what they market.

Only if they follow the '76 Cadillac Fleetwood concept....if they gonna build a sedan, by gawd, go all the way.

You probably think that Photoshop is unrealistic about what a small sedan would look like. But just see how GM in Europe made one in the 80s:

Before

After

Even IKEA don't make storage that boxy.....

That picture had my laughing out loud.

Honestly, the F55 and Countryman are MINI's answer to the sedan (4 door family oriented vehicles). Taking the coupe and lengthening it would likely be the route they would choose, but one has to ask why?

Yes, leave that market to BMW proper.

It scares me a little that my Photoshop-ing came close to a past atrocity. I pray that MINI will have more sense....

They're making a FWD 1-series sedan, so this is probably just a badge-engineering exercise for BMW.

That picture makes it look like a subie pickup . lol

" Taking the coupe and lengthening it would likely be the route they would choose, but one has to ask why? " that's what I was thinking, like a Panamera

I mean, sure, it sounds awful (I'm always a fan of hatch/wagon over sedan). But maybe it could work? Riley Elf:

From that to the logical extreme as in the Daimler-Benz G4? Wouldn't that look great in Volcanic Orange?
