So as my luck has it, one of my key fobs made its way into the trash and eventually, I am going to need to replace it. I found blank ones on Ebay for about $80, but know that they require programming.


Any info would be greatly appreciated.

 

I doubt you'll find one for less than $250-$300.

 

My wife lost one and the Audi dealer had to reprogram the second fob we had and program the new fob. It keeps from someone driving away with your car. Probably good news for you.

so some sticker shock....$280 for the replacement fob and another $150 for it to be programmed per my local dealership (Phoenix, AZ)....I called the smaller market one (Tucson) to see if there was any difference and they quoted $375 plus an additional $150 for programming.

OUCH!!!

If anyone out here works for a dealership and gets a discount that they would be willing to pass onto a forum member, it would be greatly appreciated!
