I think it looks fantastic. The hidden roll hoops really clean things up. That new blue also reminds me of the Superleggera concept, and that's a plus.
Some interesting takeaways:
- MINI Connected/Visual Boost is now standard. I can only imagine it's only a matter of time before the rest of the lineup has Connected standard now that the Convertible and Clubman have it standard.
- No Openometer gauge, but I've heard that the top-down time will still be stored in the Visual Boost system and if equipped with Navigation XL, there is also a weather warning that will let the user know of impending rain so they can get that top up in time!
- Union Jack soft top! What a cool looking option!
I wonder how much heavier it is than an F56. (Convertibles tend to be heavier - they have to strengthen the chassis as there's no roof holding it all together).
I have to say as well - that's a girl's car. I don't think I could drive it. Looks lovely though.

All MINI's models will have Connected because of the 2018 back up camera law

Makes sense, but I'm glad to see they've finally implemented it. This should also bring standard bluetooth audio and Siri/Cortana integration across the 3rd gen MINI lineup.

There is also the mini projector light in the mirror on the driver's side from the clubby. I wonder when that is coming to the hardtop..

Yeah- I attached a picture of what the screen looks like. Also, I wonder what the gauge pod in the third picture is- maybe JCW stuff? Or maybe it will add the openometer too..
- Union Jack soft top! What a cool looking option! I attached a pic of it. It is woven which is so awesome! I love MINI Yours.
There is also a new hood protection system similar to that found on the old Jag XJ where it buckles up for pedestrians, and there is a cool trunk feature that opens up the top slightly to get more space- similar to the 3/4 convertible.
