New Clubman

Was just at my Mini Dealer checking out my new ride that was just off the truck. My MA was very excited but not about my new JCW. Owe no. He takes me into the showroom and there it is. On loan for 2 days.
I tell you the New Clubman is a whole new level for MINI. The level of finishing and materials are more like the inside of a Jaguar than a MINI. Everything about the car is cool.
The body shape
The Dash and *****
The HK sound system speakers look amazing.
The back seats have real room and the seats themselves....
Best of all the car is low a sleek.
The showroom car is not for driving so could not take it for a blast.
This car is completely luxurious for the money. It is hard to believe that you can get this much well designed car for so little.
The only negative for me is that I don't want MINI to be so popular that it becomes the next VW.
Good job BMW!

the car sure does look great, but I think it'd be hard going from an F56 to the new Clubman. I mean the same engine (and manual transmission, auto is getting the 8 speed) but in a heavier car. Couldn't they up the boost a little?

Our dealership is having a special showing of the Clubman in the future. I'm anxious to see it. The looks alone sold me on it as a potential new car. If it's as nice as indicated above, I will be our next car.

Agreed, going for an F56 to a Clubman would be quite noticeable, but for the average driver, I'm betting it's still going to be quite peppy and offer a bit more space and luxury. Would like to see a HP bump for that model to around 225 to make up for the extra weight.

Yup 400 additional pounds
TWO linebackers riding along.
I can feel 130 lbs in the passenger seat in our hardtop.
I doubt it will become that popular considering at 40k your
in BMW country. Those of us who still want to be a little different will remain fans.

The R58 JCW Coupe can get to 40K very easy so the market might be different. Cant wait to see it in person.
