New MINI All Weather Mats

MINI released some new all weather mats for the F56. Since there isn't much info on the web about them I thought I would post some pics. The style is like the R56 rubber mats. They have a nice tech look to them, and easy to keep clean. The part number is 82112406164.

The term rebadge means the same part with a different label or nameplate. These don't come out of the same mold. They look similar to the R56 rubber mats.

Yup. That's what I'm implying. They look EXACTLY like the Weathertech mats I had in my previous car. Not a bad thing. They are excellent.

These mats are great. Certainly a step up from the basic rubber mats, and much easier to clean. We offer them for $92 plus shipping (MINI List is $115).

Agreed !

They have no design flare like REAL MINI Mats.
Too generic in their design. MINI would never design something like this.
They look terrible. I love my Mini Allweather Rubber Mats.
Even the word Mini on those other Mats looks UnMini...not cool.

Weathertech's look a bit different, but same basic design.

They key to dealing with deep snow and salt accumulating when it melts
is to do what I do. The floor mats are there to protect and hold water and salt like a damn. So what I do is use a microfibre cloth bought at your local dollar store and soak up the mess and keep it under control. Wring out the cloth a couple of times and wash it and use a spare during this time. Even if you have a original Mini AllWeather Rubber Mat, it will work under these conditions also. It works great for me.

That's a great idea. I also unscrew the gas pedal and stick a 12" (300mm) square of thin plastic sheet under it. This stops the salt from getting into the carpet around the pedal. I have a steam cleaner and it is a pain to clean properly once it is in there. the plastic helps - even if it finds its way into the carpet further away it is easier to remove.
Of course the plastic comes out after it stops snowing!

The image on weathertech.com is a stock image. I bought a set of weathertech floor mats for my R56 and they looked EXACTLY the same as the original photo.

They are amazing for snow and are worth the small premium over the OEM rubber mats

Brilliant idea, a lot of work, but worth it !!..... I never thought of a stem cleaner.
What great lengths of work we go to keep our car interiors clean.
The salt attaching to the carpet when it dries is like a rock if not delt with early enough. Not only is winter tough on the exterior, but also can be tough on the interior.

The Front and Rear mats are here:

82112406164

and

82112406165

As well as the Weathertech ones. The Weathertech ones come in Manual and Automatic version. Also the weathertech come in different colors. Like Gray and Tan, not just black. Also match trunk mat for lower trunk option.

Yes. We have the MINI-branded Weathertechs for my wife's R60. They're fantastic. We have two kids, currently ages 3 and 7, who manage to track sand everywhere. Even when we're not anywhere near a beach. (I think it's some sort of kid-magic. ) The Weathertech mats make cleaning the car much much quicker, because I don't have to spend much time getting sand out of the carpet. The way they come up high on the sides really helps.
