wheel offset questions

I know there is a figment thread but could not find it using my phone app. Looking for semi flush fitment but not looking for any poke.Had et35's on my r57 and was very happy bit not sure how they would fit my F56. Also how bad would the stretch be on a 8"-8.5" rim running the OEM 18's which are a 205/40/18. Going to run these till they wear out so probably another 15k miles then going to a 225/40/18 so also do not want any rubbing issues once I switch next year. Car is on NM springs. Wheels I am looking at are Alzor 881 or 010 if I can run a et35 18x8-8.5.

35 offset on an 8" wheel is too low for the F56 to be flush with the fenders. I'm running et 38 on an 8" wheel and it still pokes a bit in the front with no camber. I'm thinking somewhere between 40 and 42 would be flush with no camber.

You definitely won't be fitting an 8.5" wheel in the front without significant poke. The rear should be doable at 8.5

There's still too little info out there to really give you good advice, if you want to go aftermarket you'll have to experiment with the rest of us

I researched this exact scenario and after reading the forum, etc I opted for 205/40R18 with 7.5":ET45 This worked PERFECTLY for me and is as flush as you can get. No rubbing, etc. Runs perfectly with no issues over bumps, etc.

Went with the similar wheel specs 17x7.5 et45 but opted for a 225/45/17 tire. Fills the wheel gap some and gives a more aggressive stance.

BBS RF505 on JCW

Any one know if BBS RF505 17 x 7.5 will fit my 2020 JCW. I really like the NM Rse11 but want 17 not 18” and 7.5 ET45 look right to me. The BBS site does not state they will fit a JCW.

I have 8.0 width with a +35 offset and it pokes, so I wouldn't go that route since you say you don't want poke.

Have probably settled on OZ Alleggerita 7.5 x 17 front, 8.0 17 rear, all at ET47 which I think will bring front and rear to about the same position in the wheel arch (on the outside). That should mean the fronts remain the same distance from the strut as standard and the tyre will be 9mm inside the arch lip (21.5mm on standard 7 x 17 ET54), the rears will also end up 9mm inside the rear arch lip (27mm on standard 7 x 17 ET54) with the rears also being a little closer to the inside (about 6mm).

Any chance of a side pic? I was hoping to see how nicely it fills up the fenders. I want to switch my 18's to 17's.

Everybody who says +35 fits well... take a look at their pics, those wheels poke! +42 or +45 is usually about perfect. If you have +35 and want a very flush fit without rubbing, you'd need camber plates and maybe adjustable upper and lower arms in back.

JCW Lowering Spring Fitment

Hey all,
Haven't done anything but a tune so far, but looking to do H&R Lowering Springs on my F56 JCW. Wondering if anyone has experience with 17x8 ET45 with 215/45 17R on a JCW with springs. Looking to do the Konig Hypergrams but a bit nervous about rubbing after lowering! Are there springs that lower a more conservative amount?

I like this one, gives a visual of the fitment, and the numbers you need to measure on your car if the new setup will fit.

Thanks, but I actually am talking more about lowering rates and changes to suspension clearances due to the springs. I know the 17x8 ET45's will fit on the stock suspension fine, but am worried about the lowering side of things. Thanks!

Don't guess, measure. Pull a front wheel off, put a straight edge across the hub and measure to the shock at about the widest part a tyre will be. 1/2 tyre width + offset need to be less than that. I've found that 1.5mm static clearance will rub slightly, but not enough to take the paint off my struts.
15x8 et45 and 15x9 et32 work for my car. But I don't have jcw struts. Some tyres are wider than others.

Hey all, first post here, but lurking for a while. A lot of helpful information on various subjects which helped me out. I hope it will be the same in this case, I've combed the internet for a definitive answer but no luck and I am sure you legends will be able to tell me.

A friend of mine has an F60 with a set of Style 531 wheels as a spare set which he isn't using anymore which I absolutely love, but the fitted tires are 225/55r17 and that will for sure rub somewhere on the F56 and therefore not great for testing. Luckily those tires are near end of life anyway so before making a deal and ordering new tires, I'm trying to find out if there's actually any point in doing so. I have a base F56 1.2 with just some cosmetic mods to taste so no suspension work, big brakes or spacers.

Current situation:

MINI Style 495 16" 6.5j ET54 205/55r16

Desired situation:

MINI Style 531 17" 7.5j ET52 215/45r17

I see some wild configurations here and seeing some of the things that have been put on without a problem... It seems to me that it is possible? Can anyone tell me for sure if I'm missing something or if it can be done?
