The kit includes an exhaust system (with BT controlled flap) and remap. Tips (chrome or carbon fiber) are extra.
Google the part numbers shown on RealOEM to get an idea of pricing.

That's strange because I'm getting mine installed on Monday.

Save your money :p that kit gives a very nominal HP gain since the S is actually already 205-210bhp. I have thoroughly tested the new JCW and it only has more punch at the top of the tach and its not much more. So mainly your paying for the exhaust of which my muffler delete sounds better if your in a 14 F car get a Burger tune + find Mario Palza and get his down pipe and intercooler upgrade which will run you around 1500 all in. Dyno from that was 228whp 270wtq

Some of us like our warranty.

@honderpilot
I'm in the U.S. Give your dealer a call and have the part number ready.

And Mini loves taking your money.

You do know that the Berger Stage 1 Beta tuner can be easily removed when visiting the dealer and in non-detectable, right? IMO there is really no reason NOT to go that route. Way less expensive and way more performance. But if you choose to go the so-called "safe" route, by all means do it. I just don't really understand the rationale since the dealer cannot detect the tuner once removed.

As stated in the other thread, I'll consider it when it's out of beta.

Its been out for year now, its not really beta and its proven at this point if you have a b48...if you gave a b46 the wimpy OEM tune is the only option atm

Just talked to my buddy at the dealer: MINI has released the holds on the JCW Tuning Kit for orders or for units in stock.

The car has to be reprogrammed to the latest ISTA/P version: 3.55.4, so expect a few hours at least for programming if your car isn't already on this software.

Unfortunately, B48 owner percentage is getting smaller everyday. More and more on the boards here have the B46 and are looking for a option to improve performance for their cars. I know NM Eng has a B46 version of their tuning module coming soon and Burger is still working out the kinks for B46 on their own unit.

In a different thread they said the JCW Tune costs $2000 at the dealership. Only a dealer can do it, and it's covered under warranty. Someone said it added power mainly to the high RPMs, unlike the factory JCW that I have which includes a different turbocharger as well as a tune (and brakes and body kit). I'd have to drive one before I'd buy it. The JCW turbocharger was available for the R56 models at one time at least. Maybe it will be for the F56 too.

For sure the factory JCW > F56S with the tuning kit or even just the BT.

I don't think a turbo swap would be as easy on the F56 - I believe it's attached to the intake manifold now. I guess it's not impossible, just much harder...

My reasoning is that I currently have an f56 S, non JCW. I cannot afford the JCW. I want a new exhaust/possibly a tune; however, I want to keep the warranty and not even have to worry about voiding it. This leaves this kit as the best option for me.

If anyone has it currently installed let me know, I'd like to know your opinions on it before I pull the trigger on it. Thank you!

Really? Is that based on facts or are you just stating your opinion based on what you believe you're seeing on boards/forums.

Pay attention. The engine he's referring to (B48) was only installed in the 2014 F56 cars, which were only made for about 6 months, so that engine is gone. All subsequent cars will have the newer engine, the B46. Those people are still waiting for the Burger Tune people to make a model for their cars to improve performance. Evidently their first attempt caused some problem so they withdrew it.

Simple math:

The B48 was only on the 2014 F56S and was replaced by the B46 as of 2015 for all Cooper S 3rd gen models. The number of the 2015 models on the market is going up, while the 2014 number stay the same.

Sweet thank you! I'm currently on the phone with my dealer trying to pull more information. They are telling me that this is the first they've heard of it.
