Water/Methanol in an F56?

So I was planning on putting a kit into my Gen 2 before it got totaled and I replaced it with a new Gen 3 and it got me thinking. Good for the Goose is Good for the Gander right?

It seems that a kit shouldn't void your warranty:

The technology is sound and has a long history

A lot of people on this site and others love these kits for getting extra power and sometimes even better fuel economy

So with all that... has anyone with an F56 pulled the trigger on this mod, or is anyone else planning on doing on?

The berger tune seems like a no-brainer. A water-meth kit is a bit more involved, but could be awesome, especially since the FMIC on the new model is a lot larger (looking at least?) than the old one, so the old standby of the aftermarket IC is probably not going to be as effective in the Gen 3.

Any thoughts?

Go for it! I presume you'll need to tap the factory charge pipe as there are no aftermarket solutions yet. Of course you won't be able to really take advantage of it without a custom tune or some off the shelf maps a la jb4.

Using Water/Meth

I have used water meth on a bunch of different vehicle and installed it on more than I can count. I really like the Snow Performance stage 3 kit. The in cab screen makes for easy tuning and adjustments.

Other People may have other brands they like as well.

hmmm... any company make a pretty decent plug n play system? I was prepared to do a bit of mod work on my '07 MCS... but I know a lot less about this knew engine and am not as comfortable just digging around under the boot and running wires and hoses lol

I ran a cooling mist kit and my friend ran the same and then switched to a devils own kit and liked it better. I've always heard the snow kits were great too. They aren't really "plug n play" though. You can't escape running a couple wires and lines.

Well I pretty much just meant that I don't want to have to create a boost port by buying some extra part, or tapping the manifold, or some sort of craziness. If the new Cooper already has a boost line I can just put a T-fitting on, then that makes it easy enough.

I just don't want to have to root around too much to get it to work lol. I am fine with hooking it up to power and installing the spray nozzle
