CravenSpeed MINI Smartphone Mount Pro Series HELP

I would like to fit a MINI Smartphone Mount Pro Series (with the Scissor XL cradle) to my F56, but I am in the UK and Craven do not make a Right Hand drive version and have no plan to do so. I will be getting just the Scissor XL cradle from Craven.

Would somone be able to make me a tracing of the bracket that mounts onto the rear of the Tach so i can use it to make one with the mounting point on the other side.

I realise this could be seen as taking a sale from Craven, but as they are not going to be making a RH drive version I think it should be ok (it will only be for me) any help will be appreciated.

I have a thought: Rather than try to fabricate something from scratch, why not just take the tach mount, drill a few holes in it, then use any of their modular arms and whatnot to basically "create" the mount you need. A drill press and appropriate taps and you should be able to fab up anything you need from their assortment of replacement arms.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that, it may be the way I go. I will have to wait and see if anyone provides a tracing and how hard it looks to make a complete new one.

I can tell you that you'll need access to either a CNC mill, laser, or waterjet, then the standoff tubes that are welded to the actual bracket.

IMO, this is one of those things that would be a lot easier to buy and just modify than to fab up from scratch. Just my 2-cents. Please let us know how it goes.

Does it matter to you to have the iPod on the left side?

That is a good point. Just in case there was a misunderstanding; our smartphone mounting bracket does fit RHD MINIs, it will just still have the phone on the right side of the tach. The reason for this (and I apologize to leftys in advance) is more about the overwhelming right handedness than it is about mounting it toward the center of the vehicle.
