It sounds like none of this is in Mini's hands. I'm sure they want to get paid as badly as you all want your cars.

Why would someone trade in THEIR ONLY daily driver on the speculation that a car on order would or might be delivered as promised? Don't want to wait?: Buy a car off the lot. Or, just hang tight and wait til' it shows up. It's not like Mini has the balance of your money and is holding the car hostage. You waited 3 months already and want the car, right?

Thanks for sharing. I'm calling BS on this. That person has 2 posts making them reek of troll. The only thing that makes sense is maybe they are accounting for the time to get vehicles to dealers.

There are 2 months of F56s backed up at the VDCs. Even if they get the green light to ship them on 1 Oct it will take some time to work off the backlog. Whoever posted that may have had a much later build so they will be on the back end of shipping. We're Week 28 and our delivery is supposed to be 9 Oct. That is nearly mid Oct. The posters car could have been built a month or more later so yes he will wait a little longer.

 

You got it. They were NOT an early build and just wrapped production. The delivery date stated there has no impact on the rest of us still waiting.

That said, now that we are getting close, it would be nice if MINI provided some kind of status update. Based on history, I'm not expecting to hear much.

 

Unfortunately I have no new information to add at this point. The stop/hold on 2015 F56 models is expected to be lifted on 10/1 as planned and vehicles will make their way to the dealers based on Priority status and order dates. Sounds like this person has a later build vehicle, so they should be getting their MINI later than those who have been waiting longer.

On a side note (and please read this carefully before going up in flames), MINI is announcing a price increase of $250.00 for F56 and F55 models effective 10/1/2014. This does not, however, affect vehicles that are "Priority 1" status (essentially pre-sold or ordered units). Everyone waiting for their ordered vehicle will have their original contract price honored.

Correct. Only F55/F56 models have the increase and not F55S/F56S models. I should have made that clearer.

I'm just hoping that my car won't get held up at the VDC too long due to the backlog of cars getting shipped out. It's scheduled to arrive there around 10/14 or so.

 

Many of us have waited 2 months or more. Our car arrived at the VDC on 2 Aug. Maybe you wait an extra week? Not too bad all thing considered.

 

Totally not looking for sympathy at all, I can only imagine what the folks who have been waiting months are going through. I'm just eager to get my car because the sooner I do, the sooner I can stop driving stick and ruining my knee even more.

 

July 23 for me, but I think the winner is g34343greg at July 19.

 

It will be interesting to hear when the Mini's start getting released and the timelines that follow. Would hope to hear something within the week re: release time.

Since you live close to Baltimore VDC you will hopefully get your call a few days after Oct 1st and the prize is being the first F56 2015 that is drove off the dealer lot.

My date was July 29! On the Owners lounge my still read Oct 8th and my dealer is about 700 mile away from Brunswick GA. I hope it will be October 8th.
