Which brand run flat 16" tires has Mini been shipping with their cars? I ordered the "all season", but I believe they are not going to be the best in snow. Had Blizzak's on my last Mini, and really loved the winter traction they offered. Just wondering what brand my car will have on it when it's released from EPA Jail........Thanks

 

It varies far too much for anyone to tell you. I too have the 16" all season speced on my car. We'll all find out what we have in Oct.

 

My 2014 MCS came with 16" Pirelli run flat from the factory.
I had a choice of 16, 17 & 18 to choose from but I picked the 16 because of my multiple rim-damage experience on my previous MINI with the factory 17" low profile tires. Road condition is really bad on my commute (lots of jarring huge pot holes). I hope I will have better luck this time with a bit higher profile tires (more cushion).

I was not sure if Mini had a tire contract with just one company, or did they use who has the best price at the time.

 

The latter, I'm sure.

 

Our MINI Justa came with Hankook Ventus Prime 2 tires. They are 16" runflats mounted on black Victory Spoke rims. Only 1500 miles so far but they are much more compliant than the RF Continentals supplied on my previous MCS. No M/S rating on the sidewall but the tread pattern looks like it will be OK in the wet.
