back seat lighting.

found out the other night that there is no way to illuminate the back seat area. found that kind of odd. never had a car before that was totally dark in the rear. had anyone else noticed that?

I noticed it yesterday I was reaching for some papers on the night and had to take my cel to light it up.

Not an "oversight". Such things are deliberate business and manufacturing decisions. Probably cost cutting.

Believe it or not, BMW just forgets thing when they do a model changeover. I got a 2004 (first year) X3 and there was no dash light or chime for door or hatch ajar. They added it the next year.
