I'm assuming this means its not a couple week back order any longer.

They replaced the exhaust tips on my 2007 R56 because people were getting burned (not me).
Also did you see that the JCW tuning kit is on hold for US import? Motoringfile.

Not in hold in Europe, or at least Germany. I got mine installed a couple weeks ago with no mention at all of potential burning issues.

I'm curious why Mini has the suggested price at 3k if you call a dealership, but ECS tuning is selling for 1814.99? Also, does anyone know if this available? a few dealerships I spoke too seems to think it is but really don't know

Probably mark up and/or some dealers will include installation in their price too.

I finally got my hands on one - The kit from the Dealer is 2300.00 and Dealers add on an additional 1000 for install. The Kit from ECS doesn't include shipping, since the item is over sized you are going to pay over 300 for shipping. You are going to have to have the dealer to do the install because of the software upgrade. The item is still not for sale, but trust me it is awesome!

They got one before they put them on hold. The programming takes about 4 hours, 8 hours installing electrical components for the Flap.

Still a weird number to charge $1000 for labor. ECS charges 228 to ship to California and no sales tax.

I agree, wasn't to happy with the amount of the labor, I'm sure once they have done a few of these they will charge less because it wont take as long.

Have you found any new information on the JCW Suspension Kit that you're selling on your website? I believe it says April 6th it ships.

I'm very interested but I'm trying to find out what the actual maximum drop is.
I know it says "adjustable range" is 10-20mm but find it hard to believe that 20mm is the max drop of the car as that's only 0.78 of an inch.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm thinking that's what I'm going to buy. Your car looks great with them!

I forget, did you install them yourself? Do they come with everything you need for installation?

Yeh, they came with everything needed!

I didn't install myself, but I paid about £250 to have them fitted and also for a full laser alignment to be done afterward.

The benefit is that you have way more adjustment than you will get with the JCW coils.

So from the dealer you're talking $2300. for the kit plus another $1000 for the install = $3300. $400 less if you buy it from ECS. And for that price you can an exhaust that sounds like the JCW and a whopping additional 15hp. Really? Only 15hp? Seems like you're then paying primarily for the sound with a minimal power increase. Disappointing! I was hoping the JCW Tuning Kit would add at least 25-35hp. The ECS and Burger tune kits advertise 25-35hp (on 91-93 octane fuel) and 44hp with the ECS position 2 setting (100 octane fuel).

Seems like this is still up in the air, kit was available for a short time last week then pulled again. Some dealerships can order it, others can't, doesn't seem like anyone knows whats going on. Figured I'd shoot MiniUsa a tweet and see if I got a response. They responded that it would be available by the end of the month. Heres to hoping this is correct.

My reason for wanting this tuning kit is to keep the factory warranty, I want a valvetronic style exhaust and I don't feel like splicing into wiring using Remus. I'd like some extra HP but don't think if I showed up to my dealer with some ECU or engine issues with a tuning box on there they would be very kind about that.

Programming for mine was only 1 and 1/2 hours.
Total cost for install was $432 (includes tax)!
$1000 is ridiculous
