Called a few dealerships in my area and no one is selling the kit yet. If we order ECS how does that work with the re-flash?

 

They just need to pull up the info with that part number listed. They will have to plug the MINI into there program systems and activate a code and flash it with an update. I don't know the price or time they have set to do this as this just came out. Like in the past with JCW tuning kit parts if you install yourself it will need flashed afterwards or as soon as possible. That's all the info I have on that.

It sounds amazing!! I'm looking to getting one installed for my New F56S (just took delivery 1/6/15). How long did it take for them to do the install?

 

I ordered it this past Saturday and they had it in by Tuesday. I dropped my mini off late Tuesday afternoon and had it back 12 noon today (Wednesday)

The video clip doesn't really do it justice. Get it!!!

 

It comes with JCW Badages and stuff right?

 

2 badges...one for the boot and one for the engine cover, remote to switch the exhaust from sport mode to track mode, certificate of authenticity.

 

any exhaust sound video? would like to hear that

 

You don't even get a badge for the front grille?!?!

 

I could care less.
I may even remove the one off the boot and just keep the one on the engine cover. Keep it stealthy
To be honest, once you drive it and feel the extra hp/torque, badges will be the last thing on your mind.

Looks like MINI has put a stop to these Exhaust Kit.
I called my Local dealership and they said they cant order it, they r in the country but cant put a order for it at this time =(

 

Well, that's horse pucky! At least you got info back from your guy. I'm having a hard time getting any info back from the Chicago MINI guys regarding the JCW exhaust.

I wonder what the issue is? Can't be the release of the JCW since it doesn't even have that exhaust stock on it (which I think is kind of a rip). If it did, it might just push me to trade my '15 MCS for it (stupid, I know, but can you blame me?).

 

So the JCW Tuning kit is back ordered from ECSTUNING as well.

It is either a whole bunch of F56 Owner bought the kit or MINI US Decide to pause the sale....


On another note, here is some info on the Arma intake.


Variable intake system: (MSRP US$1340, shipping US$100)

ARMA Variable Air Intakes has a variable valve inside the filter that can prevent power lose in low rpm, and at the same time increase the power in higher rpm. User can preset the desired rpm for the valve to open using the ARMA ECV controller. All readings are controlled via the OBD2 connectors. Settings will be in memory and once they are input by user, it will not be erased unless a new setting is being entered. Moreover, APP system is coming soon and it means that you could use your cell phone to control the valve.

You got Lucky, Dealers stopped selling them now all JCW Exhausts are on hold... uhg. I called them the day they came available, by the time I made it to the dealership that evening they said they put a stop of sale on them because of an engineering issue..
