Interesting write up and read...

I had an R56, loved it, and I love the F56.

The only difference, I guess, is that I was a away from Mini for about 18 months, when I had an A3 instead.

I was blown away by the improvements to the interior especially. I understand the criticism of the exterior but I like it in S form.

It's the same for any car though, change takes time to get accustomed to. I didn't like the new A3 when it came out but now I like the styling. Same for new 3 series, new golfs, any new model of car... My first thought is I prefer the old shape, but then it grows on me and a reconsider...

Ironically the Mini is the only car where I haven't had that thought of hmm... I'm not sure about the new model thoughts...to me it's preserved enough of the original charm for me to like it.

That said, I'm not a fan of the F55 or the new clubman...but perhaps in time that will change.
