All re-engined F3x models will get new designations:
Model name change for the re-engined F3x: 328i (N20) -> 330i (B48), 335i (N55) -> 340i (B58).
4-cyl B48 engine will have 330i/430i designation instead of 328i/428i
6-cyl B58 engine will have 340i/440i designation instead of 335i/435i.
PHEV F30 will come as 330e, not 328e.

Interesting findings. If they're to be believed the 328d will be available with a manual? and the 2 series AT is coming to the US with 2 engines and both with a choice of manuals. And the X4 will get manuals. Seems a bit too good to be true but we shall see. Also, Clubman SD diesel is coming?!?! seems like the most logical MINI to test the diesel waters with here.

Got to give them credit where it is due, they have some pretty good cuisine. And wine. Engines, not so much.
