My wife and I drove to Manchester for some burgers at Corey's Catsup & Mustard. Fun place and great food! As we were finishing our meal, I noticed a guy maybe in his 50s standing by my MINI across the street, and just staring at it. He would walk a few feet, stop, and stare some more. He circled the whole car. Just mesmerized by it I guess. MINIs do that we know. By the time we paid the bill and left, he was walking up the street. He then turned around to give it one last look. I kind of wish we had left the restaurant in time to converse with him. I'm sure he had some questions. A good night for sure.

A good MINI owner, especially a brand new F56 owner would have leaned over to the wife and said:

"Honey, I'll watch your burger n fry's for you if you could run across the street and see if that fella needs any info about our super cool brand spanking new sharper that a tack tremendously over priced new bundle of pride and joy!"

Then leaning back with your chest all puffed out, smile quickly at her so she cant possibly afford to say no or stop to ask questions like: "Why the F*&(%$ aren't YOU going across the street!"

But that would be a good MINI owner, and altho I have been following you around the forums now for some time.....(Stalker?).....being new to the F56, you might not be completely up to speed. (You're still starring too!).

Just the use of the word Amorously in the title was enough to get the MINI juices flowing.......Thanks.

I got a point from 100 yards this afternoon, and the guy at AutoZone this morning was nice enough to not run the leaf blower until I pulled away.

I met a MINI coupe a week ago on the highway and the driver and passenger about jumped out of their car even before I got close waving and grinning. My wife thought they were crazy.

I'm a 62-year old divorced male. Maybe I'll meet some ladies when I get my MINI.

He was either admiring it, or else he's an R50 owner seeing an F56 for the first time and thinking, "What the heck happened?"

I stare wistfully at my R50 all the time wondering why I'm at work and not driving it. Almost cried the other day when a bird pooped on it, had to rush over and wash it off, my workmate thought it was hilarious. He doesn't own a Mini !!

Since buying my MINI in January I experience something I have never felt before with any car I've owned. When driving my car I'm such a snob! My thoughts are sort-a like: "You poor people have no idea of what you're missing out on".

My Lotus just attracts young males. My wife thinks it's hilarious since an exotic car is supposed to be a chick magnet; but in reality it just gets attention from young dudes that want to know how fast it goes

My Mini attracts comments from two types of people: Old guys and women (of all ages). Even though the Mini isn't expensive, women seem to love to ask about it

Or....., "Wow, I so need to sell my R50 and buy this stunningly gorgeous F56:.

But seriously, like others here I do find myself sometimes going out into the garage and just staring at my MINI. And climbing behind the wheel is pure bliss.

Be careful. He might have just been wondering "how could they have screwed up that front end so bad". (chuckle).

This is what I've been seeing every month this year when I go out to look at my Mini:

Yep, broken and on the lift again. My neighbor came over yesterday and said: "AGAIN?! I think you spend more time underneath that car versus inside of it".

Can't wait till our F56 gets here

Maybe that old guy was gobsmacked by the huge nose MINI grafted on the F56.

Possibly ha. I also find it weird when people compare the reactions of the launch of the 3rd gen to the 2nd gen. I mean, gen 2 did have a lot of changes and there was a mixed reaction, but gen 3 is radically different for a MINI. It would be interesting to see stats of returning customers vs. new customers for the F56 as I really feel they will pull in many more new customers with this model. Current owners (like myself) may be on the fence or go elsewhere - which is what I'm doing. But yes, I have enjoyed the admiring glances over the past eight years!
